Mate, I saw your video was 28 mins long and I thought " no way I'll through the whole thing... I'll skip through it!"..... Its probably the best...no, its the best summary of Dubai costs I've seen online!! Well done and thank you for putting this together for those of us considering a move!!
I'm moving to dubai next month and can I just say your part 1 and part 2 has been so helpfull, you covered all the small things somone like me needs to know, big thankyou 🙌🏼
The video I have been looking for all these weeks. RUclips is not just fair. I am sure there are thousands looking for this. I'll be there next week. Great job man. Thank you👌🏾👌🏾
Thanks for the video champion, I am from Australia and planing to move there in the next few weeks. This video is very informative. Probably the best on RUclips
To be honest I wasn’t going to watch this video when it popped up but something told me to just watch it and it’s exactly what I was looking for. I’m going to dubai for vacation in February and surprisingly this helped me with a lot of questions I had even though you were more so speaking on living there. Great video!
This video was awesome loads of information appreciate the effort you put into making this, im from the USA and moving to Dubai this year so I found your info so informative it was like having a friend giving me the scoop on Dubai.
Really liking your videos, I’m moving with my young kids in the next 4 months. Really apprehensive about taking young kids there, need to find out about schools etc…also meeting ppl (are there any groups for mums?) not into the party life….keep up the great content.
Thank you!😊 theres a huge community of family and lots of family events take place all the time. Lots of kids activities too, so they’ll never be board. Most area with villas have playground etc where all kids meet up and it’s so safe you never have to worry! Hope that helps.
Mate, I'm considering moving to Dubai and have seen a lot of these types of videos and no one else's comes close. Your quality (both in terms of insights and also production) is awesome and you deserve a lot more views. The one doubt I have in my mind is the salary. It seems too good to be true. I'm a Corporate Strategy Consultant and from Glassdoor my job has an average of 40,000 Dihrams a month (Senior Manager level). I'm 28 and that's almost double what I make now (considering no tax) and I could literally buy a Ferrari as soon as I land in Dubai (and I plan to). Surely, it can't be that easy? What's the catch?
Thank you! Glad it was helpful :) Salaries in general can be much higher out here, best get some interviews done and see the specifics of the role and the adverts line up with the actual offer, I would suggest. Sometimes what is advertised and reality can be a little different. But go for it!
Have you made the move to Dubai already? I'm also considering going there (quant finance study, oil sector work experience) and maybe we could share experiences with looking for jobs/networking etc.
I'll be moving to dubai for a new job at the end of march. Your videos have been priceless in helping me get my head around how things work in dubai! Thanks so much!
Thank you. Taking all options into consideration. Have spent time in the ME, and Dubai would definitely be a major step up in quality of life, so I appreciate all the info and data you provided. ☺

Great information, touched on things I’d like to know, with the exception of convenience for older folks. I need a currency converter, I had no idea what anything costs, trying to take notes to check out the costs. Good 👍🏽 job!
So the overall monthly cost for your apartment is 2000dirham(rent) plus the internet+electricity+water and all of the ”maintanance costs” about 1600dirhams. I do understand that there are additional costs in forms of deposits as well.

Great video!! Beautiful shots of Dubai as well in the beginning. I hope to live in Dubai later this year or early next year. Do you have an estimate of how much all the deposits cost you in total?
Thank you! Over all included all deposits, first rent and set up costs was around 18-20k AED. But that’s just a rough guide! Around 5-7k we got back at the end. Hope that helps.
Hi! I have a question in terms of credit. Here in the US out credit scores literally determine the type of housing and cars we can have. Does credit matter in Dubai?
Not really at all. Only sometimes they ask for a salary certificate form your employer to confirm salary and how long you’ve been with a company. But in terms of loans etc you don’t need to build any sort of history
Suggestion kindly make a video on the Minimum salary of different professional top Oman countries, Indian & Foreigners owned businesses & Placement company companies NRi association How to come to Oman for job hunting shared low-cost bed accommodation, travel cost , Company directory
Hi is it realistic to set up a barbershop or any other small capacity business, small enterprise for about 10-12k gbp? (Including all licenses and visa registrations?)
I think you’d need a really good USP as it’s such a saturated market here with huge amount of very cheap places and also high end luxury ones. Definitely Possible to start it but not sure the return would be as profitable as you’d expect. Just my take on it! But you don’t know until you try 😆
