steve b The animation of the hole being dug is inaccurate (the drill can go off alignment) plus your imagination is vague. No wonder you’re helpless & stuck in life.
Tangsang Limbu I was thinking the same what if they went off track and missed thier target they would have to restart but these engineers are badass and know what thier doing
Michael lo, they did in fact miss at 2 occasions and only got third time lucky, which is not mentioned here. It is in fact an engeneering marvel as the mapping system of that mine was way out of date and new maps had to be drawn with existing data. They also had to relocate the drilling station. The final hole was drilled at about 800yards deep into a tunnel of about 10 feet wide and best of all its not even drilled streight down. Because of ground instabilities the hole had so be drilled a few degrees off vertical down. That is some serious mathematics and skill to keep that thing in course. Something neither of the companies involved has done to this extend.. these engeneers, scientists and all involved rewrote history, science, mathematics and geography as we know it, which is something done well.
This was one of the biggest events of my entire lifetime, i remember seeing those last few miners come back up in that tiny pod. It was amazing to see.
mayhare 97 the worst part for me also would have been the trip up in the capsule. I just dont know if i could handle it. I would have requested a sedative or something to knock me out some.
My father was a friend of one of the people in there. He was terrified, I met him personally and he is such a great man. It was an accident, but things could have been prevented. I’ve been to the mine entrance and it’s amazing, this whole accident was a miracle. Thank god it saved my dads friend.
@Bharatram Panati Unfortunately a second person died a month or so ago that was one of the rescuers. He had been fighting off a bad blood infection since that day for over a year... :(
As a Chilean myself and watching the whole process in the news, the movie is terribly misinforming, it's just some hollywood drama, the base story is real, but is fake.
Must have smelled awful down there, with 30+ sweaty men not having a shower for months, pissing and shitting on the floor in a corner somewhere. Sadly a lot of people think that they were out of the weeds as soon as they were rescued, but no, most of them suffer mental issues like post traumatic stress to this day, and are unable to lead normal lives. As I recall, one of them stated that every time he goes to sleep, he has nightmares about being trapped in a cave, with rocks falling down from the ceiling while the ground is trembling and there's a constant roar like thunder or machinery. Unfortunately the rescue itself was so fucking expensive the state feels like they should be grateful as it is, and go on with their lives. Point taken in part I'd say.
I remembered rayan a 5yrs.old boy who fell in a well with around 100ft..and took about 4 days to got him,but sad to say that he died before the rescue...and these mens are so lucky to survive in that very deep holes....God is Good
Just imagine that sheer terror everyone would have been experiencing under that ball of fire that would rain down invisible heat every 12 hours whilst waiting for the 33 heroes to finish diligently drilling the rescue shaft up to the dangerous "roof land"
You'd think there would have been escape tunnels installed before miners were even allowed work in it...to facilitate a quick rescue when a disaster strikes
Mayur Aggarwal both; he said tunnels, as in multiple. However, it would always be to the left on the safe room, as the safe room is still the very end of a constructed tunnel. However he isn't taking in to account how the rescue hole would effect the integrity of the rest of the cave systems.
Oh Mr Sarcastic , What's with the attitude? I was just posing a thought. Trigger warning: If you can't handle opinions and suggestions then stop reading the comments section of RUclips - it's full of them
They would have to drill a 1 km (3200 feet) hole which takes too long to rescue them. Heavy rain will be the big deadly problem which will occur in the next few days
American advertisers who bought commercial spots in CBS's newscast are sponsoring the production. American TV audiences who buy the products and services of these American advertisers are their revenue stream. Viewers on RUclips outside the USA are not part of this revenue stream and are getting a free ride.
Imagine the rescuers save everyone and bring them up just to find the mine collapsed entirely and they get stuck down there. Why on earth would they lower rescuers !!
askin, In the movie, the first guy, got his capsule stuck in a somekind of toaster, then they fixed it by reversing it, then back forward then he eventualy got out, was that true?
Probaly not true, but what COULD have happened was a rock dislodge from the shaft wall and jam up against capsule. Up and down motion frees rock and continue capsule up shaft.
Bro they’re talking about additional days like they’re adding all these discounted random things to their shopping cart. You wanna metal lining? That’ll be an extra 4-10 days sir.
Research and Build They were down there for allmost two weeks with just emergency supplies for 2 days before they were discovered. They devided their food in such a way that they had food until day 13, and their relieve came when the rescue team from above reached them a few hours later. So yes they were on a hectit diet
I'm trying to figure out why I took him 3 months to rescue those minor! Also why did it cost 20 million dollars to rescue those minors? And how many jobs were lost because now that mine's closed down right?
BITSTR3AM3R save drilling for the experts. Center rock in Pennsylvania designed a down hole hammer designed to follow a pilot hole and some 1 in a trillion drillers from Layne Christensen pulled this shit off. It wasn't the technology though. It was those drillers.
Imagine being the last one saved, must be creepy being alone for even just a minute down in those depths
tom west exactly
Marco Espana How young are you?
Nigga I've had that since I was like 9.
Marco Espana LMAO
tom west he had to wait a whole hour and 30 min 15 min down there
This rescue itself was an engineering feat.
steve b It is vastly more complicated than that. Please tell me you've learnt basic geography in school and you're simply joking..
steve b The animation of the hole being dug is inaccurate (the drill can go off alignment) plus your imagination is vague.
No wonder you’re helpless & stuck in life.
Tangsang Limbu I was thinking the same what if they went off track and missed thier target they would have to restart but these engineers are badass and know what thier doing
steve b remember the tunnel isn’t very wide, and nothing like this had ever been attempted
Michael lo, they did in fact miss at 2 occasions and only got third time lucky, which is not mentioned here. The last guy down there must of had a long 15 minutes
Super Cam imagine being down there by yourself
30 minutes lol
Really 45 has 15 up and down for the second to last guy lol
There were rescue workers down in the mine helping the miners into the elevator. So the last guy would probably have been a rescue worker
*must have
i remember seeing this on the news years ago. i was too young to understand
i think i might have too, although it might have been similar in australia

I would've been the only one dead from being so scared plus I'm claustrophobic
Ur profile pic is cool I love overwatch and I'm a sombra main
The Movie "The 33" brought me here I was so proud for them being under that cave for months is not a joke I salute to those man they're my Superheroes
Imagine being the last miner to be rescued and you're left waiting in a dark cave.
Incredible salute to the entire rescue team on this remarkable achievement !!!!
Thai cave tragedy brought me here.

I am glad they got them out. NASA Langley designed and built the capsules they used to get them out.
You are amazing..

Oh the intelligence of rescuers & perseverance of miners, wow!
Recommended to this after watching the kids soccer team in Thailand
Airwipe same dude, except this is a more interesting story
Although the soccer team in Thailand is sas, this... This is the good stuff.
I just watched the movie too I'm glad they were able get them all out

Its amazing how history repeats itself.

Too expensive lmao
PLEASE BRING TO THAILAND NOW!

They would have to drill a 1 km (3200 feet) hole which takes too long to rescue them. Heavy rain will be the big deadly problem which will occur in the next few days

Well Government and great rescue team 👍
My teacher showed this video to us in class and everyone was so glad when they got out

It's American broadcaster CBS who made and aired this video for an American audience.
Well, Americans aren't the only people interested in this incident.

this is so cool well done who ever new all of this
I like the one that had his wife AND girlfriend show up at the site, LOL
If it were Minecraft, the cave would’ve collapsed by gravel and a torch.
Meme Maker yep
The miners they’re alone now
nobody’s speaks about them
Greetings from Chile
I remember going to see the movie. Was a good movie 3.8/5
micheal jackson loves chile, its the only country where he gets a round of applause when he has a miner sliding up and down his shaft.

I did. My mom showed me it.
Me too
It ended before i was ready!
If they drilled two holes right next to each other wouldn't the dirt in between have a chance to collapse that's just confusing
Austin Altemeyer they drilled through solid rock, not dirt.
No one called bruce willis?
Was there ever any issue with Nitrogen in the blood of the miners..?
Using Google to find shit like that out is an excellent option, opposed to just asking random people who probably don't know jack shit about anything.
I was one the people that watched on cnn it happened on my watch.

Probaly not true, but what COULD have happened was a rock dislodge from the shaft wall and jam up against capsule. Up and down motion frees rock and continue capsule up shaft.

Alfonso Ivan A. Benitez probably as it’s along the same lines of the rescue mission of the trapped Thai kids
nice!!!
They loved like Kings down there food water excercise
Its amazing that these places cant raise the standard on mining laws and regulations and safety rules

I just cannot fucking imagine what it was like to be trapped for 69 fucking days.

Christopher Dunken wtf😁😁😁
They were strip mining diamonds on y-11
Amazing how this is looked at as a engineering feat, LoL , does anyone see or is anyone even aware of the real story being told here.
