Thanks for sharing and today has been a sad day for us art lovers as the lyricist Mahinda Algama bade farewell.
Here is my tribute to the gentleman whom I knew very well and always fondly remember in my life

Radio Ceylon created lot of pioneers - P Welikala, Sugathapala de Silva, Lucien Bulathsinghala, Algama etc. Seems you have fond memories too of the RC. I cannot forget it as it is part and parcel of me and our family. I still believe that if not for RC we would not have built a rich music culture that we enjoy now reminiscising. But towards the late 90s and the rest things have drastically changed - everything became commercialised unfortunately artistes need support as well - the rest is history. I try not to unfold the not so pleasant memories of the latter part but to keep in tact of what we possessed prior - the rich music culture. Algama was among them.
