  • Repair not a refurb of a 1972 Sanyo music center. In this video there is no mention of politics, only electronics.

    Hi Andy,
I’m glad you had a look at the briefcase music centre. My brother often goes to boot sales looking for records and picked it up for a few quid years ago. It was knocking about in my shed then van for ages and I couldn’t bring myself to throw it away. As you say it’s what a lot of people listened to back in the day and was part of the pop culture of its time and amazing it still works after 50 odd years eh, even though it sounds a bit iffy! : )
Thanks for making the video 👍

Yep, 52 years old and still works mostly bar a few components. How many Iplonks will still be functional in 2070? I'll do more work on it some time, need to have a word with the boss.

Funny thing that I couldn’t find a station to listen to on my radio either all I got was a load of hiss 🤷🏻‍♂️

It could mean the radio or power supply needs looking at. That said there is hardly anything to listen to nowadays on SW & AM, but as you can hear this one picks up FM very well. TFW.
