I wanted to see The Rock kiss a full black woman like Naomie Harris. Naomie Harris is very beautiful and looked great in this movie, so I was expecting romance. I agree that the studio was meddling. I don't think that the studio wanted Dwayne Johnson, a racially transcending movie star, to kiss a full black woman, not even one of English nationality. The studio probably wants to treat The Rock like an American white male actor, like Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise.
