Tonight I just wanted to play along with this long backing track. I started the camera and let everything go easy and spontaneously played this extended improvisation on my guitar. It has some similarity to taksim techniques used in traditional Arabic music, but it's more like a casual improvisation that doesn't follow any rules or constraints. This jam takes different ways and crosses some various beats/styles. It has some blues, bossa nova, some Arabic darbuka beat and some latin bolero slow beat. That was so inspiring to me I also played many scales and experimented with many news ideas. All mixed with my favorite oriental/arabic flavor that keeps everything warm, soulful and full of feeling. Hope you enjoy this one. 🎸

Genius! I love the vibe and the channeled flow of the improv. (How much is composed? And how much improvised?). I've been doing similar things blending the arabic gypsy feel with more conventional blues based chord progressions. I've found that modulating between chord is very helpful. Keep it up!

thanks for your comment. I use VOX 30 amp simulation with a dyna compressor before it. a bit of delay and reverb as well.

Good from the start...to the end of the 15 minutes. But tell me .. what's the magic trick on 9:20 to 9:45 about your pick ? Lol
So you noticed it :) No magic though, something I don't know where it came from. I never intended to learn it but it works better than sticking the pick in the mouth when you like to finger pluck some parts
