Obviously airsoft is better but for backyard wars nerf takes the cake. Some of these new 3D printed nerf guns shoot up to 150fps so in your residential backyard you can still have a decent game without your neighbors having a heart attack when you and your buddies are wielding your airsoft guns in front of the children in the yard behind you
Blasters you buy at target and Walmart can shoot 150fps, some mass produced springers (from Worker) can hit in excess of 200 fps with a spring and barrel swap... often included. 3D printed blasters and modified blasters can hit in excess of 300fps.
And the pistol is on sale LOL

I love the ridiculous-ness of the whole video.
Both hobbies are awesome in their own way. And cringe in their own ways.
Someone will inevitably tell you that the hobby grade stuff is amazing compared to the stuff Nerf is putting out.

I like nerf for the fact it’s been my childhood. However airsoft just makes me feel like a total badass and I can actually get somewhat in shape from it. Personally I think their equals from the fact you can play nerf at any age and the other reason I stated with airsoft.
Nerf is kinda bad nowadays, because they don't listen to the community. Thankfully we have other blaster brands that are much better, like DartZone with their accurate "waffle tip" darts. We also have other dart brands that are more accurate than normal nerf darts. If we're talking about Nerf 'Rival' blasters then it's much more accurate because it uses balls, and it also has a hop-up. When it comes to realism, no. We don't want the cops to get called in the middle of the park.
But if you remove the capital 'N' in the word Nerf, the game changes. That's because 'nerf' is what we call third party blasters that are 100% more powerful than Nerf, and uses 'half-length' darts that flies further and are more accurate. Plus they kinda look more realistic, especially with the half-length darts because they're the size of pistol bullets.

I wish airsoft had affordable double barrel shotguns and all their competitors do and I come real close to swapping out airsoft for things like Nerf and paintball

It’s nerf or Airsoft
This genuinely had the potential to be a great video if you had actually done any research you would realise that HPA, AEG’s, high power/volume springers and MOFSET controlled multi-stage flywheel set ups are all used and shoot (ribbed/balanced short darts) from 150-500fps and effective range 20-50 metres, or 40 - 100 at a 45 degree angle and there’s a lot of pros over gelball, paintball and even airsoft. Particularly when it comes to the size, shape and ballistics of the foam/rubber projectiles, it is a lot more realistic in terms of shooting physics and ammunition carrying capacity (and therefore strategy) and if you and your group aren’t idiots you can play in public under certain relatively easy to meet conditions. And this is just to name a few benefits/differences but the list is truly endless, not to mention airsoft being illegal in a lot of places but that’s an entirely different argument for the most part. I would love to see your take on nerf vs airsoft in all of the categories mentioned in this video (and more) but if you genuinely researched and cared about uncovering truth strongly enough to balance your airsoft bias. Technically I think airsoft could be legal in some states where I live but no one has actually started a field because of the fact that airsoft guns are firearms in Australia and it’s hard to get people involved I guess idrk, but there are murmurs going around of some sort of resurgence of the hobby here and I may very well become interested and involved if it becomes viable and it actually is even better in nerf in terms of realism, accuracy, distance and fun so
It would be great to see you and people like you taking nerf more seriously and even incorporating it into airsoft as it has been with gelball. Lastly the potential of nerf is huuuuugley untapped even by the those at the forefront of the industry and hobby and the projectile itself, despite having a long way to go, is already proven to be fantastic in almost every aspect that you could want from a hobby milsim projectile, and we desperately need airsoft and maybe even paintball companies that are able to invest in the R&D and manufacture durable, safe, and even somewhat affordable (compared to buying [and learning] a lathe or cnc and setting up a workshop at your house which is currently the only option for almost everyone in nerf apart from some luckily people that got some custom designed/built hpa cores from this elusive engineer) high power systems like HPA cores/kits and AEG engines
As we all know nerf is also know for jam up . Nor fire a round

I haven't played Airsoft but I have a fired BB guns and I have had Nerf gun battles with friends and does I have played paint but couple off times what I would say if it's like a Airsoft player vs NERF player I would say Airsoft play wood possibly when every time where are fire having Airsoft match or NERF War usually Airsoft matches as far as I'm aware are more competitive and often have stretcher walls Wells of NERF wars the case could be that you just not stopping shooting each other when you get hit well so for Airsoft player how to stop when get hit and the other thing more to do with Nerf guns is fat Nerf guns easier to find you can find Nerf guns in toy shops and in supermarkets and in charity shops

Look up nerf Cliburn or fdl 3 or blaster tag association or endwar and you will see the nerf is actually a hobby on the same level as airsoft and I recommend you take a look at Bradly Philips channel
and with a scar riled barrel half darts in Dartsoft snipers have taken over the snipping scene in Australian gel ball
