Browns made TWO game-losing mistakes on that same play/sequence. The video shows first one (the penalty extending the game) but then, with Stafford hurt on the sidelines and the backup QB in the game, the Browns called timeout after seeing the offensive setup, which gave Stafford the time/opportunity to come back into the game for the final play.

2:16 happened in a high school state championship game in Oregon several years ago. With his team down 4 points on the game's final play, the fastest receiver in the state burned the other team's secondary and found himself wide open with no one between himself and the endzone. All he needed to do to win the game was catch the pass, turn around, and run to the endzone--nobody could catch him. The QB found him and hit him with a perfectly targeted pass, BUT HE DROPPED THE BALL! 😧😧😧 (Just a week before, this losing team won their semifinal when their opponent went for a game-winning 2 after a late TD only for the pass to slip right through the receiver's hands.)

Doesn't fit for a "mistake" video, though. It was a great play by the defense and would have been a touchdown if it wasn't a great play by the defense. Even the coaching decision to pass the ball was strategically much better than running it, so that's not a mistake either.

Wouldn't mind a part 4 Football Films. But see if you can scrap together any from like years ago like Jim Marshall for biggest blunders of all time. Also, with regards to the Ravens Steelers one, call was right but play just fell apart. Jackson had to get rid of it or risk a sack with Watt in the backfield nearby. Throw was a step further away than it should be and Andrews couldn't catch it being a step behind

Shouldve added the Texans vs Saints opening MNF game. Came down to the wire. Brees through a hailmary where the reciever fell down untouched with a 2 seconds left in the game. Texans db came over to the reciever and touched him down. Giving the saints enough time to kick a field goal. If the db had left him alone the game wouldve ended and gone to OT. Texans released the DB the next day.

At 5:29 you can see why that pass was poorly thrown and therefore the guy couldn't catch it. It was good defensive play by the Steeler's TJ Watt. He made the pass go off course just a little.

If you dive into it, the Baltimore play has HUGE ramifications for not only this game but the entire Ravens 2021 season. They were at 8-3 with an excellent chance to make the playoffs, and now have fallen to 8-8, hoping they can win and rely on the Jaguars to beat an Indianapolis team who has been beating top opponents all season long. It's a little bit sad. But only a little bit sad. I'm a Bills fan.

I'll agree that the last play in and of itself would count as a mistake. Going for two if you're down one at the end of the game is not a mistake (you want to WIN, ideally!).
