It hurts to hear side hustle got canceled. It was a good show. And the first sitcom I've liked of nick in a very long time. The characters and writing really sucked me in. While cheesy, it was a good kind of cheesy that I could enjoy and not roll my eyes at. The premise itself was also very different and creative for its time. The route they went for the second half of season 2 was amazing! I really wanted jaget to have more relevance and they did in a way that made sense!!! Having said all that, the show's final episode was a fun one to go out on. That final scene is what made me a fan of the show: the friendships, which is the core of the show through and through. Side hustle was done dirty and criminally underrated. And that's coming from someone not in the target demo. 8/10

I also wanted Jaget to play a more important role in the show and I'm so glad that he did, at least for a little while! I absolutely agree, the direction the show took in the second half of the season with Jaget being the one they have to pay back is really great and honestly one of the biggest reasons why I become a super fan of the show, despite also not being part of the target demographic! The writing and characters are also some of my favorite things about the show, in addition to the amazing friendship moments! And YES, I find the side hustle premise/concept so interesting and creative too! Yesley Day was indeed such a great episode, even though I wish it wasn't the series finale. Nickelodeon really did make a big mistake by ending this show so soon.

This show really deserved so much better. They could’ve had one more season and made the last episode about the kids finally having all the money to pay Jaget back for his exploded dune buggy.

I saw this show and it just clicked for me. I think the best part about this show is that it casts actual teenagers instead of 10 year-olds. That’s what modern Nick sitcoms get wrong. They cast really young kids in their shows. Not only are they not relatable, but they are not as good of actors as teens and most comic relief from them involves screaming or potty humor. It’s definitely a breath of fresh air for Nick and I hope the show only gets better as it continues.

The point you made about Jaget's character not being utilized enough is something that show seems to be fixing during season 2. SERIOUSLY, go watch the episodes "Thumb and Thumber" and especially "Groomer Has It" to see what I mean. From the major development that happens in those episodes alone, it definitely seems like Jaget will be playing a bigger and actually more important role in the show. Personally, that is amazing to me because I think his character is not only the funniest character in the show, but also one of the best live action sitcom characters that Nick has created in a long time!
Also, to address the criticism that the show gets, I heard that one of the things people don't like is how they think the characters get away with "bad" behavior or taking shortcuts when they do certain jobs. I think they are especially referring to the pilot episode, where instead of doing the job even though it's hard, they convince the person that hired them to pay them even though they kind of made a mess of things. It's understandable why they struggle throughout the job, because it's honestly such a ridiculous thing that they had to do. However, I still think the pilot episode was a little disappointing, BUT the show has so many better episodes and honestly, the characters' "bad" behavior is not really that bad (especially when you compare it to the bad behavior on other sitcoms like this) and I think for the most part, they follow through on completing the different jobs that they get. And for the people who say they don't get consequences when they mess up, I don't think that's entirely true. Actually, the last two episodes show with Jaget seeming to become a more important character PROVES that they are DEFINITELY getting consequences any time they mess up. I don't want to spoil it too much - I'll tell you what, I'll put the spoilers in parenthesis below and if you don't want to see it, then just don't read that part. However, I just really want to talk about what happened!
(SPOILERS: In "Thumb and Thumber", Presley wins a thumb wrestling tournament and wins a boat as the prize. They give the boat to Tedward and now, they don't have to worry about paying that debt. BUT WAIT - In the same episode, Jaget gets a dune buggy (which is like a weird looking car) for saving a pop singer's life from being hit by a vehicle on the crosswalk or something (and yes, she's the same singer that stole Presley's dance move). Jaget even has Fisher make the dune buggy even cooler. At this point, Jaget is almost in love with the dune buggy lol. But his heart is about to get broken, because Munchy makes the incredibly silly mistake of celebrating the fact they don't have to pay off the debt for a boat they destroyed with fireworks anymore WITH MORE FIREWORKS. Long story short, the fireworks destroy Jaget's dune buggy. It was an accident, but they destroyed it - And Jaget is not letting them get away with that at ALL. He tells them that they have to pay HIM now ("from now on, you three work for Jaget" LOL). AND if they miss a payment, they have to scrape pigeon poop off the sidewalk. And even in the next episode, Groomer Has It (which is almost like a continuation of the last one), Jaget is being SUPER strict on them and it's SOOO funny! Like, there's a moment when they get hired by this dog grooming place, but Lex doesn't want to work there because her crush that she thinks doesn't like her anymore works at the place. She tries to tell him that they can't do that job and they'll let him know when the next job comes in. BUT Jaget tells her - and I quote - "I don't know what kind of sick system you had with my daddy, but now that I'm in charge, you're taking EVERY job." I seriously could not stop laughing. And I LOVE Jaget being this strict on them, plus it addresses everyone's complaints. The main trio are DEFINITELY going to have consequences with Jaget in charge.)
Anyways, I agree with a lot of the things you said here! I think Lex, Presley, and Munchy have the BEST friendship and I love how the show is just pure fun and friendship and doesn't try to be serious or make you cry. You are right, this show is so funny and I feel like I'm having such a good time when I watch it. It reminds me of the good things in life, like friendship, humor, and yes, working hard to achieve your goals. The show isn't flawless, but it's improving a lot and has so much potential to get even better! The characters are so great - yes, they might be kind of irresponsible from time to time and they make mistakes - but that's actually relatable and that gives the show a chance to allow those characters to become better as the show goes on! Thank you so much for making this review and talking about this great show! I hope you have a great day!

That's such a stupid point that people make when referring to the main trio. They're not bad characters in the slightest, they're flawed characters, and, most importantly, ARE KIDS! They're gonna mess up, they're gonna make stupid mistakes, it's a part of life. And plus, like you said, the things they do in this series, are nowhere near as bad as stuff other Nick sitcom protagonists have done in previous shows. It's either the job being too difficult so they try to find an easier way to do it, which is what most kids would do, go against what their job is because the person who assigned it doesnt deserve to win, or literal accidents. So saying that these kids are bad because of these things make no sense.
Also, the point about them not getting consequences for what I stated above could not be further from the truth. Just a few episodes ago, Jaget took over because they blew up his dune buggy.
And to add to that, I absolutely love that decision, Jaget is hilarious and yeah, consider that point of Jaget being underutilized completely gone! Season 2 has been a massive step up, the comedy has gotten stronger, the characters are becoming more and more relatable, and the recent crossover, despite my lack of interest in other Nick sitcoms besides Warped (which is also pretty good), did a solid job incorporating all of these characters into the show and telling an entertaining story (also the song Worlds Collide goes way harder than it has any right to).
I genuinely hope this show gets a third season, cause it honestly deserves it for being this good, and people need to stop giving unjustified hate towards it just because it isn't iCarly or Drake and Josh.

@@mpkreviews1555 Hello! Thank you so much for you reply! I agree with you, I think it’s actually refreshing that the characters in the show are allowed to make realistic mistakes! It’s more inspiring to see characters that have to go through a bit of a learning curve in order to improve than seeing characters that are portrayed as being almost perfect right from the beginning. And while I tried to understand where the critics were coming from, I really don’t see the big deal. It can be assumed that Presley, Lex, and Munchy probably never worked at all before getting in debt, and it’s perfectly normal to mess up at your first job! Even adults struggle at getting the hang of a new job! Now imagine if you have take a completely different type of job all the time like these characters do - that’s even harder and it’s understandable for them to mess it up when you don’t get the chance to master what you are doing (because every day you’re doing something different). The fact that main trio take on this challenge in order to pay off their debt is amazing!
Yes, Jaget is extremely funny! And YES, I think this show improves a lot halfway through the first season and especially during the second season!
I also liked the crossover as well! It’s great that you were able to enjoy it despite not liking most of the other shows. (And you are absolutely right about the song in that episode, it might be one of my favorite songs that they’ve ever sung in the show)!
I also really like Warped as well! I’ve seen all the episodes so far and I do think it is the second best sitcom on Nick! It reminds me a little bit of Austin & Ally, probably because Hurley reminds me a lot of Dez and because Milo and Ruby become partners to create graphic novels, like Austin & Ally become partners to make songs!
Anyways, yes, Side Hustle absolutely deserves a season three! I’m worried it won’t get one though, because a lot of Nick shows lately have only had one or two seasons and then they cancel them! I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens. I also agree that people need to stop being so critical and give it a real chance! I personally like this show MORE than iCarly. For some reason, I was just never that interested in the show. Again, thank you so much for replying even though you didn’t have to! It’s so nice to know that someone likes this show (and Warped)!

I already commented on this video from another account, but I'm coming back here to say that you all NEED to see the season 2 finale of Side Hustle if you haven't already! I won't spoil anything, but if Presley is your favorite character of the show, then you'll definitely want to see it. I think it's the best episode that focuses on Presley - maybe even better than "The Presley Slide"! And if you want to see Jaget being even more out of control and funny, then you'll want to watch the episode as well! The episode was super fun to watch! It's definitely in my top five favorite episodes of season 2! This show makes me so happy and I want a season 3 of this show so bad.
There are still so many more stories with these characters that could be told in future episodes. I want to see more amazing best friend moments between Lex, Presley, and Munchy, there are still so many more side hustles the three can try - I want to see the main three characters maybe even try to make side hustles out of the things they love to do (like Lex could be a pet sitter or train people's dogs, Presley could give dance lessons, and Munchy could produce songs for people)! I want to see Fisher and Gloria finally be truly honest about their feelings for each other, I want to see more Lex and Luke, I need to see more Ty and Alan, I need to see more heartwarming family moments (like I absolutely adore the father and son moments that Fisher and Alan have and we need to see more father and daughter moments between Presley and Alan too - and also, why do we not have an episode where we see Tedward spending any father and son time with Jaget or Munchy? Like that needs to happen in season 3 as well).
I also want to see more of Jaget not only being hilarious, but also being really out of control and almost playing the role of the "bad guy" in the show sometimes. I love Lex, Presley, and Munchy, but I think that if Jaget would start causing even bigger problems for the three of them, then it would make the show even more interesting. Actually, Jaget becoming even more strict on them can make the three decide to get super serious about making money, so they can pay off their debt as quickly as possible and not have to deal with Jaget any longer. I also want to see WHY Jaget can be so strict and mean towards the main three sometimes - does he truly believe he is helping them by doing that? Also, I want to see another big disagreement between Jaget and Munchy like the one in "Room for Munchy". Munchy is a very patient and kind person and loves his big brother, but I don't see how Jaget being so strict on him and his friends doesn't at least bother him a little bit and that could be the reason why the two have another big disagreement.
There's even more I could say, but then this comment would be far too long. Remember to watch the finale and for those that are critical of the show, at least watch some episodes of season 2 to see how the show has improved! Thank you to the creator for making this review. If anyone else is a super fan of Side Hustle and wants to talk about the show, feel free to reply to this comment!

Okay, so I actually will spoil some of the season 2 finale in this reply to my own comment lol, but only because I just want to talk about this! If you don't want spoilers, then don't keeping reading this comment!
The concept of Yesley Day was so fun! Who else wants to have their own day where the people around them have to say yes to everything they want to do? Also, that Yesley Day song has been stuck in my head ever since I heard it lol. But the main thing about this episode that took me by surprise was Jaget actually trying to put the main three ON LOCKDOWN???? I was so shocked by that - like Jaget might've finally went too far lol, the main trio are so lucky that Jaget isn't capable of building a real security system because like the fact that Jaget even tried to put an alarm on every door to keep them inside until they finish the job is SOOOO wild to me! But it also was a SUPER interesting concept to have the trio break out of Jaget's lockdown and try to make it back home in time before he notices that they are missing! I am actually kind of curious about what the episode would've been like if Lex, Presley, and Munchy actually got caught... I mean I know Jaget would've made them be human punching bags for his Jag-Jitsu class, but I just would've wanted to see his reaction! Also, Fisher deserves an AWARD for trying so hard to keep his promise to his sister and put up with Jaget slapping him for hours... Jaget was just so out of control in this whole episode lol. But he was also so funny too! When he got caught in his own "security" system for the second time and said "I am my own worst enemy", I laughed SOOO hard. Jaget really is his own worst enemy a lot of the time lol.
Also, I loved the scene when they all went to the Mooery and then LUKE was there!! I am so glad we got to see him in the finale, his relationship with Lex is so amazing! Also, he is just such a great character, the fact that he is working a second job to pay for vet school is inspiring, I love how dedicated he is to achieving his dream. I'm also glad Ty was in the finale for a little while too!
Overall, I loved the finale! My only complaints about it was that one, Alan wasn't in it (he was only mentioned - which by the way, he does deserve a lot of credit for making 1,000 hand turkeys)! Also, I wish the season finale was an hour long. Other than that, it was amazing! Let me know what you think!

    • @mpkreviews1555
      @mpkreviews1555  2 года назад +3

The season 2 finale was honestly a testament to just how wholesome and fun this show is! Definitely one of my new favorites of the show, probably my favorite of the second season. The ending honestly got me kinda emotional because it really goes to show just how much everyone cares about each other and just wants to make each other happy. Munchy is definitely my favorite character on the show, but Presley is easily second place. She's so funny and Jayden gives her so much life and personality. It's no wonder since she's so positive and friendly irl, she's honestly an inspiration for me personally. And yeah, the Presely Slide is also one of my favorite Presely centered episodes, with Yesely Day obviously being my favorite.
These newer episodes really like Jaget, and he absolutely steals the show whenever he's on screen. No joke, when I was watching the season 2 finale, when Fisher and his friend (I forgot his name agh) were egging him on to challenge him by saying he was slow, and Jaget said, "Nobody jokes about my body parts like that," I had to pause the episode cause I was laughing too much 🤣. Seriously, funniest Nick side character since Crazy Steve from Drake and Josh. Prank You Very Much was also a really funny episode in terms of Jaget's antics. The exercise bike joke where Presley's dad made the bike come off and crash, and then Jaget saying "I'm charging you extra for the milkshake you just spilled," is probably my new favorite joke of the entire show. Just the way the VA delivers it, combined with the timing of it, it's amazing. Bless the Side Hustle VAs, they don't deserve the disrespect they get from old ass mfs online who can't handle change.
I really hope this show gets a third season. Side Hustle has become a huge comfort show for me and I'd hate to see it just thrown away when it's at the top of its game.
Also, Nickelodeon, what's good with the scheduling with this show? I know TeenNick has marathons of the show on Sundays, but on the main network? Literally nothing until the new episodes drop. They do realize this show is their next big show, this is their next iCarly or Victorious. Why doesn't this show have 2+ reruns every night in prime time? Why are we getting episodes almost silently dropped on Thursdays next to Danger Force instead of on Saturday nights like they used? We could even have special events and marathons revolving around episodes or even the show. Like imagine Side Hustle Saturday, where every Saturday from 5-8pm, we'd have a special marathon of episodes before a new one drops. And what about merch? Do you know how fast I'd cop a Side Hustle DVD, or rock a Munchy shirt, a Presley hat, and a Mooery themed water bottle or milkshake? Nickelodeon, PLEASE! Step it up.
I love this show so damn much

@@mpkreviews1555 Oh my goodness you brought up SOOO many things that I've been wanting to talk about!! Thank you so much for replying! First, I absolutely agree with you that one of the best things about the episode (and the show in general) is just how fun it is! AND yes, the fact that these characters care so much about each other is one of my other favorite things about the show. I too get emotional when I just think about how much the main three look out for one another - and even the father and son moments between Alan and Fisher make me emotional because Alan really does care for his kids.
I know he probably shouldn't be my favorite character, but I have to say that Jaget is my favorite character. Yes, he's got a lot of flaws and he can be kind of mean, but I honestly like to believe that he does care for the main three. And I kind of wish I had a strict, maybe kind of overprotective older sibling like Jaget, I don't believe I would've made some of the mistakes I did in my life if I had someone like Jaget constantly trying to look out for me, even if his methods would be "weird but effective", like what he said when Presley questioned how putting them on lockdown would help them LOL. BUT Munchy is probably my second favorite character and I can see why he is your favorite! I appreciate his optimism and kindness so much, like the fact that he never lets anything keep him upset for too long and how he always is excited about the small things is SO inspiring to me! And yes, Presley is also such a great character! I love how fun she is and I agree that Jayden is part of the reason why her character is so great! I didn't know who Jayden was before I watched the show, but I've seen some of her RUclips videos and I can totally see why she has so many fans! And I'm glad that Jayden inspires you :)
YESSS, Jaget has been one of the best things about season 2! I have to admit that while I liked his character in season 1, it wasn't until season 2 where it just hit me all of a sudden how incredible his character is! Both Jaget and Fisher's characters have improved SOO much in season 2. AND YES, I have rewatched the finale so much already and every single time it gets to the part where Jaget says "nobody talks about my body parts like that", I just start laughing! Like I think it's so funny because what he said was just so random. I absolutely agree that his character is the funniest Nick character in a long time - he even makes me laugh more than the characters in Victorious! AND oh my goodness, Prank You Very Much is one of my favorite episodes of the season, from Jaget's antics to also how the trio cared so much about making things right with Ty, that whole episode was perfect to me! And that joke was so funny to me as well, oh my goodness, the whole thing with how Jaget was able to convince Alan to do his work for him was so funny. But I feel bad that Jaget pushed him on the ground when he was already injured lol. Yes, the actors are definitely part of what makes the show so good. They definitely don't deserve any hate, they are so young but are already so talented at what they do! All of the actors have such bright futures ahead of them.
And Side Hustle is my comfort show too - it's also been so inspiring to me and it has brought me so much meaning and happiness unlike anything else has in a really long time. It absolutely deserves a third season, Nickelodeon needs to stop just relying on their extremely popular franchises and start giving their newer stuff that is actually really good a chance to become successful! AND I knew I couldn't have been the only one to notice how weird Nickelodeon's scheduling is! It is so strange how they barely air any re-runs of the show, like imagine if they played this show as much as Spongebob and gave more people a chance to see how good it is! I don't see what's so wrong with them airing an episode or two of Side Hustle in between all the Spongebob and Loud House episodes! I wish they would have special marathons for the show as well. If they are putting money into making the show, then I don't see why they wouldn't want to air it as much as they could so that the show could become even bigger for them. I notice lately what they do is that a few hours before a new episode comes out, they decide to play a random movie instead - they need to air all the current reruns of the show before the new episode comes out instead! AND YESSSS, I want merch too! I usually don't care about buying new clothes, but I would ABSOLUTELY buy a T-shirt with the Side Hustle characters on it! I'd love a Mooery theme water bottle too, as well as a Jag-Jitsu power shake inspired water bottle lol. AND I WANT JAGET'S JAG-JITSU OUTFIT TOO! I agree, Nickelodeon needs to do a much better job at promoting this show when it comes to merch, their social media pages, and they need to air this show on their main network more often AND put the whole show on Paramount Plus or Netflix! I see that another Nick show That Girl Lay Lay has the whole show (at least for now) on Netflix - Nick should also try to get Side Hustle on Netflix! The show would probably be so popular right now if the whole show was on there. I am really glad that you love this show so much, I love it so much as well! Thank you again for replying to my comment, that means a lot! I hope you have an amazing day!

It's official... Side Hustle is not getting a season 3... This is so disappointing, I actually started to get a bit hopeful, seeing how Nickelodeon gave Tyler Perry's Young Dylan a season 3, I thought that meant they were going to stop cancelling their shows (that aren't Spongebob or The Loud House) after one or two seasons, but I guess not... They say the show has low ratings, but they honestly did that to themselves - they barely aired re-runs of the show on their main channel, they didn't promote the show enough on their social media pages, and they didn't put season 1 of the show on a streaming service/platform. Nickelodeon had such an amazing show, but they just didn't give the show what it needed to get a bigger audience. I’m so sad that this show is ending, it honestly deserved at least 1 more season after how amazing season 2 was. This show will always be my favorite show, I truly think Nickelodeon is making a big mistake because this show was their best live action sitcom in recent years and it's honestly the best one they ever made in my opinion. I’m not even the target demographic for this show, but this show has managed to become my favorite show of all time and it always will be. I will always appreciate this show for it’s creative side hustle concept, absolutely amazing characters, how fun, happy, and positive the show is, how much it makes me laugh, the amazing friendship and family moments, and for how much hope, inspiration, motivation, and joy it has given me. Thank you to the creator of the show Dave Malkoff for using his writing talent to make a show that has made me so happy. And thank you to all the people who have made this show possible.

This show was done so dirty, Nickelodeon tossed it aside just as soon as it had reached its highest potential, and they themselves didn't even confirm it and we found out because of the cast (I found out because Isaiah posted about it on Instagram).
I hate how this show was treated, I always have. Almost no reruns on Nickelodeon except for on TeenNick (which on most cable providers is a premium channel that you have to pay extra to get), very little marketing to the point where the most it got wasn't even from Nickelodeon itself, and PITIFUL scheduling, especially for the second half of season 2 (Thursdays? Really????).
I genuinely believe that if Nick just gave it better scheduling, hell even just one episode every day of the week, and promoted it more than they did, I dare say this show would rival iCarly and Victorious in popularity. It definitely would've surpassed Henry Danger and Danger Force in terms of success (and in quality if you ask me), but the latter show was just SOOOOO much more important, wasn't it -_-
Side Hustle is my favorite Nickelodeon sitcom, and my second favorite overall Nickelodeon show. Like I said in one of our previous conversations, it's a huge comfort show that helped me through a lot of rough times and I'm forever grateful for the cast and crew for making something so positive, fun, and wholesome in a time when I desperately needed it. We were robbed of a third season and this show deserves better. I don't care if Nick canceled it, the Hustle is never over!

I agree, Season 2 was the best season yet and I had a feeling that season 3 would've been the show's best season if it wasn't cancelled. Nickelodeon really did a horrible job and made one of their biggest mistakes with their mismanagement and cancellation of this show. I found out the show was cancelled the same way too, Isaiah's post had me kind of emotional as you can tell that he and all of the cast loved working on the show just as much as we enjoyed watching it.
Yeah, I was so upset to see that all the reruns were on TeenNick because I couldn't afford that channel. I too was surprised by the choice to air the show on Thursdays. I feel like Thursdays is a weird choice, they should have kept the show airing on Saturdays, ESPECIALLY when it came to the second half of the season, since the second half of season 2 was the best part of the season in my opinion! I also agree that if this show was just promoted a little bit better, then it would've been way more popular than it was! Their poor promotion strategy isn't just a problem with Side Hustle, but with all of their live action shows lately. I don't know if you know this show, but I Am Frankie was also a good Nickelodeon show. It was more of a drama and not a sitcom, but it was still good. BUT the way they aired that show was absolutely horrible. I remember them airing a brand new episode of the show for FIVE days straight, basically finishing the show's whole season within a few weeks. I was so confused by that, that was honestly such a horrible decision. And they barely had reruns of that show was well from what I can remember. Nickelodeon really needs to fix the way that they are doing things, because they are just ruining their shows' potential this way.
I don't think it's fair for Nickelodeon to cancel Side Hustle, but keep renewing shows that aren't even as good as Side Hustle was. No disrespect to anyone who likes those other shows, I even like some of Nickelodeon's other live action shows that airing right now. However, when I look at it objectively, Side Hustle had better writing than all of those other shows. The quality of the writing in the shows SHOULD be the deciding factor in whether or not a show gets cancelled or renewed, but it obviously doesn't work that way. Anyways, I agree with you, Side Hustle is my favorite Nick sitcom too! It has helped me a lot as well, it has given me so much motivation to see how Lex, Presley, and Munchy make mistakes while completing the different jobs, but they NEVER let that stop them and they are able to fix their mistakes and get the job done! I figure that if Lex, Presley, and Munchy can do all of those different jobs to pay off their debt, then I can do whatever I have to do to achieve my goals too. I also love how fun and positive this show was, it was truly my happy place. I appreciate the sentiment, you are right - the hustle is never over and I will never stop respecting the hustle! Side Hustle will live in my heart forever! And thank YOU for supporting this show and being a part of the Side Hustle fandom along with me! :)

What about the new iCarly? I understand why people don't like it but I like it. But I do think the new iCarly reboot is the best morden nickelodeon sitcom with drake and Josh and the thundermas.

What really got me to check out this show was that this was the first live action show from either Disney or Nickelodeon that's initially about teenagers. It seemed they aged down their target audience and casted the kids as young as possible. I'm not saying ALL sitcoms about 12 year olds suck. Sydney to the Max is the best live action show from Post-Andi Mack Disney Channel. Yes, even better than Raven's Home, which I feel like has been getting less creative with it's plots. And The Astronauts, along with this show, being the best live action Nickelodeon shows they've had in a while. People hate on the modern kids shows because they're not kids anymore. Yes, there are some really bad live action kids shows airing right now, but hardly anyone talks about the good ones. It's because there have been more bad live action kids shows as of late than good live action kids shows. Also they either get overshadowed by the animated kids shows or, no matter how good or popular some live action kids shows are, they get cancelled before their time. Either announcing its' cancellation or worse, it gets quietly cancelled. Another reason why people hate this show is that they're tired of multicam sitcoms, mainly the laugh tracks. Which is why we've been getting less and less of them recently. And the most popular multicam sitcoms recently are either parodies like WandaVision or revivals like Roseanne or One Day At a Time. I personally don't mind laugh tracks if they're not overused and the jokes are actually funny. Personally, I've always believed that live action kids shows can be more than just sitcoms. But the live action kids show industry believes that sitcoms are cheaper to make. Fine, whatever, but can you at least make these shows actually funny? To them, it's a risk making a captivating live action kids show that isn't forcing jokes at inappropriate times or referencing modern trends. But not taking risks is what's making the live action kids show industry look bad. I've seen several shows and movies for adults but have really fun but well-executed concepts that are family friendly enough for kids to get into. For instance, I'd love to see a kid friendly Inception or a kid friendly Strange Days. Or a kid friendly Game of Thrones. I'm cheating here cuz I don't watch GOT, but I know enough about it because EVERYONE talks about it. And I watch too many Top 10 videos. We need more live action kids shows like Andi Mack or The Astronauts or Secrets of Sulphur Springs or The Barbarian and the Troll or A Series of Unfortunate Events. I haven't seen the latter itself, but I've read about every single episode in a blog and couldn't stop reading it. Sure, not all of them are gonna work very well and not all of them are gonna have an audience immediately. But we need them. I want the good live action kids shows, past AND present, to get the attention and respect they deserve. But also, the best type of effort put into those shows. Anyway, I haven't seen the other Nickcoms to call it the best Nickcom right now, but even if isn't, I enjoy this show for the most part. And you're right about everything. Even though, from time to time, they can have some dull or stupid or irritating episodes like the one from last week. But how does that make this show any different than a million other kidcoms?
    P.S.
This show was created by a Dan Warp member who's written episodes for Victorious, Henry Danger and Sam & Cat. Which is why this show feels like a Schneider show. And when you think about it, this show is also Sam & Cat done right!
    P.S.S.
So I've got a fan theory: there's this old 90s show called The Pretender about a man with a supergenius ability to expertly perfect any job and uses it to travel around the country to overthrow evil powerful people. What if Presley's mom is a Pretender? Is this where she's been, doing the same thing? Cuz the kids could definitely use some pointers since they have a weird job every week. And it would explain where Fisher got his smarts from since he definitely didn't get it from his father. Presley did, though, since she's not very smart, either.
