It's sad how Lee Joon gi said he won't do such dark characters anymore and blames himself for the drama ratings in Korea. And now they won't be making season 2 😭 Actually it's the opposite. He was just perfect . Those eyes when he was in front of queen/mother says all. I hope he realises he looked so good in it . It's 2020 and fans still can't forget his scenes in this drama. He needs to do more romantic dramas please and we won't mind the bad guy image.
He's the best thing in this drama, imo. His eyes, his voice, I can't forget it. Best actor in Korea, no doubt. But when he said these things you mentioned? I don't think he was serious because he did Flower of Evil, his character there is "dark" , and I don't think he blames himself for Scarlet Heart not being a success in Korea, because it is certainly very much appreciated in the rest of the world, in part because of his amazing character.

My 2nd would be the scene in Epi 8 where prince wang so's confession to hae soo after she put makeup on his scar before the rain ritual. And my most favorite part was in Epi 11 during the execution kneeling plea rain scene. When hae soo accepted his love after being abandoned by prince wang wook. Her point of no return. This has got to be the most poignant rain scene in any drama or movie ever!

Scarlet heart ryeos ending could've never been any different. All those people dying had to happen because they were depicting the true history. The actual history has all the kings killing each other. But what's really beautiful is that through this fictional version, they tried to show how this one woman almost changed everything in their lives. How an effect of love and care could bring a difference. How instead of being greedy for power, you could play it in harmony too.
