Such a shame; the older model got discontinued, now we have to wait for this new model to be release which can take months, and the model is mostly the same as the old one, and the design is not even that good.
The gearing problem does not exist except for a small handful of people who bought the 500X to use mainly on fast main roads and wanted a taller sixth gear to lower the revs at legal cruising speeds. Those people were not concerned that the change would spoil the spark that the standard gearing gives the bike, it’s much livelier than it’s power and torque figures suggest with the standard. Being overgeared simply makes the bike less responsive on undulating roads, when riding with a pillion or heavily laden. As the new NX is placing the bike even further into the adventure bike section of the market there is no way Honda would have considered selling it with a higher final drive.
Another uninspiring offering from Honda. I was hoping the updated bike would get as closer to the unicorn. Looks like CB Moto and Royal Enfield are the better options. At least if you want some decent off payment ability.
Are you crazy??? what is NEW? honda is not ABLE to do SOMETHING NEW ANYMORE this is the CB500x with 2 different plastic! the TIME of the AMAZING first TRANSALP and the FIRST AFRICA TWIN are DIE.
None of the manufactures do anything new. They put adv styling on a road bike, next year they put bigger wheels on, next year they put longer travel suspension, next year update the styling again etc etc.
Ditch the traction control and give us cruise control.
