At the end the baby was a neck warmer scarf& then a lovely hat too!!!Mama Kala must be into fashion!!!😉🐵😙👒👕🍁🍄😙Awesome capture, SV.Mama looks so full of joy!!!😚
Human newborns do have the Palmar reflex (grasping reflex), if you put something in their hand they will grasp what you put in it, but like you said without the hair to hold onto it's not as vital for human babies as it is for other primates.
The baby looked like it fit comfortably in the crook of her neck. 🤷🏻♀️ I can’t remember, is she a first time Mom? Either way, she’s got it under control, and seems to love her baby🥰❤️👍🏻
Me neither, but it's instinctive. Chimps do the same. I follow a sanctuary where they were all raised among humans or in labs. One is obsessed with dolls, and she'll carry them on her back. Same with the male in the troop and a stuffed monkey.
This Mom has an absolutely beautiful face! I thought Genki (Momotaro family, Kyoto) was the prettiest, looks like she has some serious competition. I know... they're all beautiful creatures 😏❤️🌵☀️⛈️🌈☮️🦍
A friendly Hello, Laurie...I feel what you mean about they're "all beautiful creatures"...All I have to do is look at them (especially our Great Apes) & my heart starts "thumping" with excitement ... *: )*
@@poppykok5 hello! One of my favorite things is to watch their faces, and look into their eyes. They have different facial expressions, their eyes can harden or soften, depending on what's going on and how they feel about it...just like humans. After a while, I stop looking at them as "animals", because they are so much like us, but at the same time, I have to be careful not to anthropomorphize them. They, like all animals are such a gift. Thank goodness for conservation groups. Hope you enjoy the rest of your day. 😀
A lot of them are in Chinese or Taiwanese. I generally do a search by Iriki, D’Jeeco, Jabali, Tayari. This troop is fun to watch. Just a warning though, Tayari is a crazy mother. She’s a very good mother, but some of the videos posted of her don’t always paint her in a favorable light. There are a lot of commenters who bash her and try to humanize her. You just have to watch the right videos of her and Jabali. Iriki is my favorite gorilla, but her half sister Tayari is pretty darn tough and smart. They both came from Apenheul originally.
This was the only time I've noticed it. Later on, there didn't seem to be anything there. So hopefully it's nothing . Maybe she's just playing with her tongue against her cheek, but I'll see if she's still got it next time I'm there.
It looks like Kala rarely holds him in a nursing position. The baby is on Kala’s back, neck, or held up high on her front. So baby isn’t getting enough to eat!!!
Maybe I'm becoming a "nervous Nelly" because I practically cringe whenever I see Mamas picking up their infants by one arm...Of course they're very protective & certainly know what they're doing, but does anyone else get a little anxious, too... *: )*
Sadly you're correct. Hasani had to be handfed by the keepers, but he's grown quite a bit and a very healthy boy now. Have a look at him now : ruclips.net/p/PLXC1aShJSBiVMD7B2_K3Tr4oXnqBvzv2A 😊
It always amazes me how these animals that can pretty much lift a car can be so gentle.
She's the tiniest, sweetest, and coziest gorilla sweater. 💗 Thank you, SV!
Wish it was this easy for humans.
Kala has a gorgeous face.
Yes! She’s very pretty!

The gaze she gave her mom was priceless...later on I thought she was asleep 🤗... Moma wore her on her.... head and neck too!... 😁
Mom is wearing that baby like an accessory.
Baby gorillas must know instinctively to grab on for dear life. A human baby would have no idea - and not much (hair) to hold on to anyway...😉

Such a good mom
Sherry, sadly she lost her first born last year not long after birth.
Linda C ... are you talking about Foxie at CSNW? If so, we follow them too. 😊
Thank you SV! Sad to hear she lost her first baby, but she’s doing a remarkable job with this little cutie! I’m glad she got to experience motherhood.

The little baby looks like it's the perfect way to sleep & travel.

Iriki at Taipei Zoo is also a beautiful mother gorilla. She’s a new mom to Ringo.
@@MegUSN52 do you know of anyone filming, and posting videos of the gorillas there?
I love following all of these different families.

If it works, then you go for it momma.....💖
She looks like she's a proud momma too, so sweet.
beautiful animal
So cute and tiny! Sweet Mommy!!
What a beautiful loving and attentive mother. Always making sure baby is safely positioned.💕🦍
💖Kala and her baby 💖
are beautifully adorable! 😍
Nothing more beautiful 😍
How precious is this video 💕💕 Baby is getting big already. Great job mama. Thks SV 👍👍
Maybe that way she knows her baby is in correct position to be safe.
What a sweet video, sometimes when their on mamas back they look like a frog..😘✌️💛 thanks SV
I hope that baby holds on tight! 💕
Os bebês gorilas,,agarram nos pelos da mãe para não cair,,olha esse bebê no pescoço da mãe ,lindo!!😍😍😍😍
Beautiful! SV do you know what's the bump on the baby's cheek?

It is wonderful how the youngsters, know to hold on tight 👌

This is great 😊
Absolutely gorgeous ❤️
Que hermosa madre
Olá sou do Brasil, e sou apaixonada por gorilas gostaria de saber quais os nomes da família de gorila que tem aí no zoológico obrigada

poppykok5 No. I trust Kala.
No, because infant gorillas, while smaller than a human baby, are quite strong and instinctively have a strong grip on their moms.
Kala ainda nao tem pratica para lidar com a criancinha.
🐵🐵🤗🤗😍😍😍❤❤❤❤❤
Hola!
Me parece a mi que esa mamá no quiere al bebé 😔
