In the comic books, when he was fully charged, Electro was extremely sensitive to anything that may "short circuit" him, such as water. Later on, Electro could even lose control over his powers when subjected to water, which caused him to burn out and collapse. That part of Electro's character is accurate to the comic books
The backstory of the TASM game scorpion is that he’s a scorpion fused with human dna, and the symbiote (this might be a reference to comic scorpion who was venom at the time). He is made by Otto Octavious and he nicknames him “MAC” which stands for “My Astonishing Creation” (a reference to his comic name Mac Gargan). His bio says that unlike the other cross species, The Scorpion is eerily becoming more human and intelligent than he should be able to, and implies he might one day evolve into a human. It’s a different backstory, but I like it. It’s just that all this info is relegated to just the unlock-able bios, instead of in the actual game itself, which brings down the experience. The same can be said for the other villains in that game.
See that’s so much cooler and deeper back story then they show in the game, you could make whole plot line with just that alone. I always felt movie tie games just wanted to shove everything in one package then flesh out one sold idea
In defense of Ultimate Shocker. Spider-Man making bad jokes about the Shocker is the point of the character and is actually very accurate to the comic book. In Ultimate Spider-Man comics Shocker was never a serious villain. He was more of a "so bad that an old lady with a stick can take him down" type of villain. In one issue Shocker was so fed up with Spidey humiliating him that he actually managed to defeat Spider-Man and kidnapped him. Chained him up, took off his mask and was very close to kill him, until Mary Jane and Kitty Pride gave a friendly police Captain a tape on which Shocker's car licence plates are shown, but also what is shown on the tape is Peter's secret. Shocker started and was kept as a joke, to become actually one of the most menacing Spidey villains. One who got so close to kill Spidey, that his girlfriend had to reveal his identity to save him.
Ok… before anyone says anything about Insomniac Venom… we have to remember a few things… 1. Harry has been Venom before, and the Symbiote has been bonded to others before, not just Eddie Brock… 2. He’s getting more attention in Venom: Lethal Protector, likely bringing him into his Anti-hero status. 3. They can do what they want with him and how he is characterized, especially after how the Venom movies literally made him his own person as a symbiote. 4. We didn’t have 4 years of in game build up like the comics, of course the Black Suit arc is a bit more fast paced, but hey… it’s implying for you to do the side-missions with the suits, which will help draw out the experience and length with the Black Suit. 5. This game was coming off of both Mr. Negative and Doc Ock, which were both amazing characters in their game, it was going to be a MASSIVELY tall order to live up to them… especially Doc Ock. 6. This isn’t Topher Grace Venom, it will never be as bad as it.
As someone who has only played the LEGO games featured in this selection, THANK YOU for putting LEGO Mysterio here. I'm a pretty big hater for LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2, but easily one of the worst boss battles in the game (all of them are pretty mediocre anyway though) is Mysterio. I would even be fine with it if the battle had a preamble with cool effects to show what Mysterio can do before letting you down with a meh fight, but nope, we just get this awful camera affect and some "ghost" Mysterios as you fight some goons. Even the DISNEY INFINITY 2.0 (the only other technically spider-man adjacent game I can say I've played) game was able to make his powers look pretty cool in the intro of the story, and that game's story sets feel like their held together by duct tape and Elmer's Glue. Pretty educational list. As I've said, I'm not familiar with most Spider-Man games listed, and really have only played a few games featuring Spider-Man, so seeing how many games there are, let alone how many deep cuts you had to make to find the worst of the worst, was really interesting.
@@MILDMONSTER1234 Harry was a dying man who wanted to heal the world, and the symbiote offered him a twisted version of that dream through turning others into symbiote infected zombies. The game made Venom more than just a stalker out to kill Spider-Man. Venom was actually a threat to the safety of not only New York City but the entire planet. And his relations with Peter (being that Harry is his best friend) as well his motivations makes Venom a very sympathetic character. Venom doesn't want to take over the world for no reason, Harry wants to help people with the same suffering as him, but the symbiote gives him the twisted version of what he wants. Venom was great but needed more screentime.
Although water is conductive when interacting with electricity, it actually also dissipates its static charge by creating pathways which causes it to flow in the opposite direction. This can neutralize electricity. If you throw the toaster in the bath itll spark for sure, but the spark eventually dies out for a reason.
Ultimate Spider-Man Shocker may be a catastrophe, but at the very, *very* least, he shows up as a random encounter throughout the game and gave a little bit of variety to those.
