Wow! I had one 11-month like this and there were frustrating moments but with persistent training, exercise, play, and love it took 2-years for her to turn a page and the light went on. She knew over 65-commands wanting to learn new stuff. Best dog I ever had!

Ruby's dog mixes are high energy breeds & very intelligent & are classified as working dogs. They need to spend their energy by working & also usually need training too. So Dan was correct in training Ruby as a K-9 unit dog. I'm guessing this is the reason why she was deemed unmanageable by the families who returned her. Thank God the shelter woman was determined to save Ruby from being euthanized!!!! Fate. I highly recommend people to watch the Netflix film 'Rescued By Ruby'. Tear jerker.😢 But sweet & true.😊
