  • Today, we’re honored to be talking with Tricia Hersey, founder of The Nap Ministry.
Tricia is a walking, resting revolution, and I am thrilled to share this soul-shifting conversation with you.
No More Grind: How to Finally Rest with Tricia Hersey
    1. Tricia shares small, concrete ways to bring rest into our own lives - especially when rest seems impossible.
    2. Why so many of us feel like machines instead of humans - and the power of imagination as a spiritual practice to reconnect with our humanity and divinity.
    3. Why grind culture - a collaboration of capitalism and white supremacy - wants to keep us exhausted, and how we can resist a culture of overwhelming busy-ness.
    4. Why everything changes when we embrace ease as our birthright.
    5. Creative ways to reimagine rest within our hectic daily lives.

These ideas sound nice and comfy, but are hard to implement. Naps ok... But lets think about emergency workers, ambulance drivers, nurses, doctors, social workers, police..

      agreed 🙌💕
people who argue that rest isn't possible need it the most
also weird this guy points out all these jobs which fully allow you to take 5 extra mins in the shower, and not moms, esp to young children, who usually can't even pee without someone needing something

0:40 That makes me so sad... most of us live our lives like these without knowing what we really want. Freedom. That poor man woke up every day an hour before work so he can "enjoy" his time... can you even imagine doing that for 40+ years and only getting an hour a day? SOMETHING HAS TO CHANGE!
