My dad would say that too: "I'm resting my eyes." Mom would say: "Every shut eye ain't sleeping." 🙌🏽

What an incredibly important and empowered talk on resting. Trisha’s perspective lifts us out of the solitary, escapist vein that runs through the healing arts, inspiring instead a restful revolution of community connection and collective healing.

Goosebumps just listening to Tricia. Thank you for bringing more awareness about how our sleep, nap, rest, and spirit really is. Please government and corporation, take it easy on us.

This is an incredible presentation and discussion. Tricia, thank you for your revolutionary work. We absolutely need this wisdom individually and culturally. I will be learning more about Tricia's work and sharing it with others. Thank you, Sounds True, for featuring Tricia.

What an absolute joke. This woman is poison to a society. I promise you the Russians and Chinese aren't resting, they're working... hard.

So very true!!! In Yoga, the resting pose in which you lie down completely relaxed, (called Shavasana) is considered the most important pose of the entire session!

This is beautiful how you put all the pieces together! Thank you for reclaiming rest as a radical act of independence that that allows us to have the reverence which I believe is crucial to mutual respect. I have been teaching for many years that in the presence of reverence there can be no violence. And so when we take time to honor that our bodies need time to process so much of what is going on, at so many levels all the time right now, only then can we have the presence of mind to treat ourselves and each other with respect. You have an amazing vision and your work is very important please stay woke!

Bloody hell, I'm listening to this and still, the guilt I feel that I'm not being more 'actively productive' shows how I need to listen to it another few times and literally read the book.

Interesting how the interviewer didn't address white supremacy in any of her questions. Talked about everything else except what is at the core of this work. Great presentation by Tricia, extremely constructive information.
