Still love it🌼 This darn thing is still running strong. Don’t buy cheap supplies like brushes. The aftermarket side and main brushes are not good quality. Spend the money and buy the brand. Three times a day she runs without problem for almost the last year. Still going strong. Once again, would be nice to have a remote alert when she gets stuck or when the receptacle is full.
Hey I'm thinking about buying this product was wondering how often would I need to replace those brushes ? And also the filter ? Can I clens the filter with water and is it expensive to maintain ? Will it break if it collects water from the kitchen ?
love the video! subscribed. i've been meaning to buy a robot vacuum and this model always comes up in different channels, but your review is the best, by far. congrats!
I have a Roomba E5, which works okay. It’s not terribly smart, but works okay on carpets or individual rooms. I got my mom a Deebot 79W for Christmas as it was the only robot in stock at Target that I could afford. It had better reviews than the shark and the roomba. I have to say after using it to clean up the extensive cat and dog hair in her house, it was truly impressive. The best part about it is the remote that was included that actually allows you to steer it. My biggest issue with my roomba is that it get stuck in corners and cleans the same spot over and over. This is not an issue with the Deebot since you can just steer it away from the area and it will resume the auto clean without an issue. It does seem to take longer to charge, but lasts longer than my roomba. It’s quieter than my Roomba too. Can’t speak on long term reliability and durability, but I’m definitely impressed with what I’ve seen so far.
Just bought one at the thrift store for $20 with the charger but no remote. Looks like it was used one time lightly. Had a little dirt in the tray and woman's long hair in the brush, LoL... I cleaned everything all up, charged it 4 hours. It ran around my house for 2 hours before returning to the charging station. I can't believe how much dirt it picked up, and I thought the floors were already pretty clean. Boy was I wrong! This things killer, and really quiet! I am going to get a remote for it and link it to my WiFi and Alexa! Best $20 I ever spent...
I have the Deebot M88 and the Linksys Velop Wi-Fi system. Despite everything I've tried, I have never been able to get the app to work. Yes I contacted Deebot and they sent me an email with the same troubleshooting script that is posted on their website under "Troubleshooting". That said, the vac works pretty well and picks up a lot, it even impressed my wife. It gets under couches, dressers, beds etc. I did just order 2 ECOVACS Deebot N79S Robot Vacuum Cleaners because I have a really big house, a cat and a dog, and sandy soil. it does get hung up on cords, the dog's pee pads etc. If you have pets that aren't housebroken, it could get pretty ugly.
Hi, I just bought it on prime day but I am having trouble to connect it with Alexa, I couldn't find the ecovacs skill, would you tell me how you did it please?
I got this for a great deal on Prime Day. My only complaint is that it takes forever to find its way to the dock. It gets close, and then turns around. It’s too painful to watch. I end up picking it up and putting it on the dock. Other than that, I absolutely love it!
Hello there... I have a question ... if I put on single room mode there is posible that D-Bot Can go to another room to clean when finish the other one ¿?
do you have to put the dock in the room where you want it to clean? or can you place the dock in the bedroom for example and the vacuum will clean the bedroom then wonder off to the other room ?
Please tell me why it won't connect to my phone. I've set it up directly under the router, set it to 2.4 GHz, double checked the password and it still loads to 100 then says connection failed
It only worked for me when I literally laid my phone on the vacuum. Stupid and should not have to be that close, but hey it worked. And once connected I haven't had any problems.
Liked 👍 review I had a Deebot for over 1 year and works good I just got n79s. I got mine working with echo but not Google home maybe Ecovacs app needs an update perhaps 🤔.
Yes. Turn it upside down. Just south of the top, freewheel, is a panel held in with two, small, Philips screws. Unscrew and open this panel. The battery is inside connected via two wires - a small plastic connector. Just get another 2600mAh or better a 3000mAh battery on Amazon. Let the new battery fully charge (6+ hours) before you use it. I've found my 3000mAh battery lasts 1 hr 20 mins per job.
Great video. I enjoy my Deebot -- although the App you're showing is different from the App on my iPhone. It looks like yours has a lot more features. I have the N79S.
I've a DN622/N79. Never got the unit to work with my WiFi. Never saw ECOVACS_00xx at any time, and yes I tried everything (2.4), press for 1 beep, etc. etc.
How big is your place? I'm curious how big of an area it can cover before needing to be recharged. My place is only 900 sq ft but I have no clue if it can handle something like that before recharging.
I got this during prime day, so far I really like it. Only issue is my rug has some black designs in it and I guess it reads that as a drop and sometimes gets stuck then I get a anti drop sensor error
Tech With Brett the way my rug is designed in one corner there is no other way to get out. It seems like it gets trapped and confused. Tries to get out for maybe 30 seconds then gives up red light appears and on the app I get a drop sensor malfunction. Can't even make it go over the black section using the remote. Usually have to pick it up. Once I do and place it past the black section it goes right back to cleaning
Hi Bett, great video. Just like to ask can the vac be setup in Google home routines to start when saying Good-by. And not have to tell google to tell the vac to start. Thanks for all the great videos you put out!!!
Great review Brett! The price on this is really tempting. Can't wait to see the mopping version though. But I wanted to ask what happens when it gets stuck or something like @13:46. Does it continue to sound that alarm for very long? Thanks. Keep the videos coming 👍
Tech With Brett Just thought I'd give an update here: Almost bought this on Prime Day but missed the deal. Then the price jumped 30 bucks from where it was earlier 😒 Ended up getting a Neato botvac instead. And let me tell you it was the best move I made. It operates with lidar and has an app that connects to at least Alexa (Google uses ifttt sadly but it works). It also produces a map when it's finished. The D3 model I bought was less than what they jacked up the price of the Deebot to, and it has can use boundary markers as well- which was the only thing that has me thinking about the D5 model. I can't recommend it enough 👍
Great video as usual Brett i need one of these 👍🏻👍🏻 Brett i sent you a wee message to ask you how to get video wallpaper on my note 8 i cant get it to work android 8.0.0 oreo.
I suggest not buying a new one. If you read any reviews by people who have had it longer than a few months, you will see those reviews are about the vacuum doing a super annoying beeping error. The battery, motherboard, and motor go bad pretty frequently. Usually after 12-15 months. The warranty is for 12 months.
*I run the m6 daily, and my floors look awesome🌼 **allabout.wiki/ECOVACS-N79S** I wet mop 2 days and dry sweep the rest of the days. When I first got it, I used the included disposable pads. I didn't like them--the dry pad has no depth so if it picks up a chunk of something, like dry cat food, then it pushes it around or drags it around the floor. The wet pad wasn't very absorbent so left streaks and wheel marks.*

Really helpful and comprehensive review. I just bought one of these and now know what to expect. Many thanks!

does it learn the layout of the rooms for future reference
Can you choose what room to let it go in?

How would you get the app to work if you do not have the remote ?

Same for my Samsung powerboat R7040. Still no connection.
What can i do when i want it to avoid my carpet? The carpet is to high and it will make himself stuck..
Hi Dear.
I don’t have the remoto control. I both this one at the second hand. There is some way to connect on this robot without the control remote?
what are the buttons on the remote stand for ? The bottom 6 small buttons .
Great video. I really like how you got the POV from the robot vacuum. I'm looking forward to getting one of these to use with my Google Home.
Hi, I just bought it on prime day but I am having trouble to connect it with Alexa, I couldn't find the ecovacs skill, would you tell me how you did it please?
SONIIK88 I’m wanting to know the same thing... did you ever figure it out?
I got this for a great deal on Prime Day. My only complaint is that it takes forever to find its way to the dock. It gets close, and then turns around. It’s too painful to watch. I end up picking it up and putting it on the dock. Other than that, I absolutely love it!
Emily Bogard mine too, even when it gets to the dock, it struggles to actually lock on and set itself on the charger. 😕
What commands can u give it with google? Can u set rooms?
Which goes in first the black sponge filter or the white filter?
Black sponge, first, into the rectangular receptacle. Then put the white, thicker, filter on top of it, then close the lid.
What does the alarm clock symbol mean in the upper right corner of the Deebot N79S app? I can't seem to delete it?
I wonder what the difference between this model and the n79w
Has yours started squeaking? Mine is screeeeaming when it gets stuck instead of shutting off quickly.
Are the volts for the charger 110 or 220
I Bought this last Black Friday for $150 , and just opened it today, hows it holding for you now?
Seems like it works well on low pile carpet
Liked 👍 review I had a Deebot for over 1 year and works good I just got n79s. I got mine working with echo but not Google home maybe Ecovacs app needs an update perhaps 🤔.
How did you get this to work with Google home? Their website says it isn't supported...
I saw that but it shows they are adding support for some models. I just linked my account and it worked with no issues.
Can the battery be changed when it reaches the end of its life?
Does it run through the whole house or just a room at once?
Great video. I enjoy my Deebot -- although the App you're showing is different from the App on my iPhone. It looks like yours has a lot more features. I have the N79S.
what about a virtual wall. How do you keep it in one room to completely finish the entire floor before it leave for another room?
Brett can jou tell the vacuum what to do and it will remember it for next time it cleans
Did you use map management in the app? At the App Store it shows that page.
Why does it looks like it not picking up nothing but the bin is full?
Great review Brett this model is still made and still ranks as one of the top budget robot vacs. Your review help me make a decision to purchase it.
How does the edge cleaner work?
When it's low on battery does it automatically return home
christopher crowley ya but sometimes he gets stuck and will just run himself down and then can’t return home
How do this compare to Eufy 11, 11s, 11C?
I've a DN622/N79. Never got the unit to work with my WiFi. Never saw ECOVACS_00xx at any time, and yes I tried everything (2.4), press for 1 beep, etc. etc.
My cats watched most of this video and were particularly intrigued by the time lapse portion!
Do this have wet cleaning
Does it have issues connecting with dual band routers ?
It shouldn't unless the 2.4ghz option is turned off.
How big is your place? I'm curious how big of an area it can cover before needing to be recharged. My place is only 900 sq ft but I have no clue if it can handle something like that before recharging.
I tested it in one room at a time so I am not exactly sure. I think it should be able to cover 900 sq ft without needing a charge.
if I were to keep the dock underneath a couch would that work?
I might try it out but I think it might struggle to find it. I will let you know.
I just tried and while it did struggle to dock it eventually did.
Tech With Brett thanks so much. Not even kidding here, because of that response I just liked, subbed and hit the bell. You’re the best
Thank you!
How long does it last on turbo mode?
Oh thank you so much i am about to buy it so i know what to expect now
I was thinking to buy one, and I think this one will be a good one to start with. Thanks Man! ;-)
Would you recommend this vs the shark ion robot 720?
Or the shark 750?
So I guess the Ecovacs n79 won the challenge or is a better deal? Not sure from this video.
i'm actually searching for a vacuum robot with a water tank that can wash my floor, compatible with google home, please can someone help me ?
The other one I am reviewing does have the water tank but no Google Home support. ☹️ Still on the hunt for that.
Tech With Brett N78?
Good review but mine continues to beep???
C'est vraiment intéressant cet appareil. C'est une innovation à la une
Great review i just ordered the Debot 500 on sale. Look forward to getting it!
Is this vac rough on base trim? I dont want scuff marks as I have heard some robot vacs tend to do that.
I got this during prime day, so far I really like it. Only issue is my rug has some black designs in it and I guess it reads that as a drop and sometimes gets stuck then I get a anti drop sensor error
That is very interesting. I never would have that it would do that. Is it still able to go around another way?
Tech With Brett the way my rug is designed in one corner there is no other way to get out. It seems like it gets trapped and confused. Nice review
I buy one today 😁 in cyber Monday
Awesome review, not sure why you don’t have more subscribers
Just working on it one day at a time. Thanks for watching!

I can see that power switch sticking out being accidentally switched off while operating if its rotating right against a wall or something.
Naah, not a problem.
Great review Brett! The price on this is really tempting. Can't wait to see the mopping version though. But I wanted to ask what happens when it gets stuck or something like @13:46. Does it continue to sound that alarm for very long? Thanks. Keep the videos coming 👍
As far as I could tell it kept beeping for ahioe bit I stopped it because I didn't want to wake the kids.

It does not seem to see black color objects
Brand New, just ran for 5 minutes.. Side brush error. Not seeing a way to fix.
Thanks for the review 5 Stars
Does anybody know if it is more powerful than the eufy boost 11s, if not what's the suction power on this machine
Good question
I love the long run time
It is a good vac for chores
Review the best 😍 From Indonesia

Very thorough

Great video as usual Brett i need one of these 👍🏻👍🏻 Brett i sent you a wee message to ask you how to get video wallpaper on my note 8 i cant get it to work android 8.0.0 oreo.
Check to see if there is an update for your Samsung Themes store. And just to be sure videos in the Gallery don't have the option to set as wallpaper?
Tech With Brett ok Brett will do pal 👍🏻👍🏻
Tech With Brett its up to date Brett and i don't have the option in my gallery for video wallpapers 😱😢
I use mine just for getting under the couches and tables.

$139 on sale; Amazon black Friday sale.
Sweet, that is a great deal!
Lol I like the intro
Did it clean all over?
Yes it did clean all over. It did get stuck a few times on my air vents on the floor.
Hii sir what is your next vidio
Amazon Fire TV Cube... Coming soon!
Great video! Can you test a Xiaomi vacuum, it uses lasers to map?
Now you can do Samsung Powerbot
Yes. Do that one too. I have the R7040. It won't go back to base to saves it's life. Run time is too short on regular power.
I will be getting one Wednesday. Amazon had it for $139.99 yesterday.
either you never vacuum your house or you left it for the purpose of this video...
you have a hole in that wall mate
It is much bigger now...
