    Interesting info
I'm at a point in my life were I want to make a career change I want to get into the IT world. I just am not sure what part I want to get into. I would honestly just like to at least get my foot in the door, but not sure how.

Looking into doing Microsoft Software and Systems Academy...the thought of struggling to always be up current with new stuff is daunting...is it that hard to keep up with the tech through a career?

Hi Steven. That is a great question, and one that pretty much all of us struggle with. At first there is a steep learning curve, as with most other professions. You have to fill your toolbox with the right stuff, so you can form a foundation for your future work. That toolbox takes time to fill, figure out where to place your tools, when to use which and so on. That is what experience will give you.
Just like being a carpenter, psychologist or car mechanic, things change all the time. New knowledge comes to light, new methods are invented, new tools are created. Software and technology is no different. The really hard part in my opinion is always knowing which bits to learn, which to focus on in depth, and which to leave for someone else. For me, this is guided a lot by my interests and passions. Which part of the tech comes natural to me, which has the greatest potential for my projects and which am I drawn to without even knowing it.
Put it this way, if you don't love what you do, it is very hard to do well. Although daunting, take pleasure in the promise and opportunity that technology provides, and that you can be part of that. Yes, it is hard to keep up, but it is a great journey and it gives so much back.
      I hope this helps. 😊
