That's what we say sometimes in russian, when we are experiencing strong emotions. Like russian in this show is legit, the subs are usually kinda mean the same, but not word by word.
@@leongyuhinleong and "Mama" is usually used when something is about to happen and you are not really ready. Like if you were with russian on the rollercoaster, going down, that's what you would hear, if person doesnt swears

I ve read some native russian point out that her accent is kinda off (well, because she is japanese), but still compliment her speaking the language right
Yeah it is stated that Uesaka is an avid fan of Russia and its history, culture, military, literature and art. She won the Sophia University's Studies Prize For Excellent Work. What's even more interesting is that she also voices 'Hahari Hanazono' from '100 Girlfriends', 'Mia Luna Tearmoon' from 'Tearmoon Empire', 'Aya-san' from 'Tonikaku Kawaii' and later this coming Fall 2024 'Amagami-san Chi no Enmusubi' who plays the role as 'Yae Amagami'.
This is not entirely true. The preferences of dishes differ greatly from regions and peoples. I'm not an expert, but as far as I know, most people in Russia don't like spicy food. Of course, the "sharpness" from onions, garlic and horseradish has been in many dishes since ancient times. But a very specific sharpness might be more a feature for nomadic peoples. In general, the great feature of Russian cuisine is its diversity. It's hot in Russia in summer, so there are light cooling soups and drinks like okroshka and kvass. And in winter, it's better to eat something fatter in order to better preserve heat and energy in the body
Oh shit! 😂 One thing I know for sure is because Yuki asked Masachika what Alya says and he knows and answer the question, she will tell Alya the truth about Masachika knows Russian.😅 I can feel it. 😂
I once visited a spicy ramen restaurant in Tokyo and it wasn't the least bit spicy. The only truly spicy food I encountered there was the kebab shops. They would have a list of sauces you could put on it with fire pictograms next to it to show the spiciness level. The one at the bottom had literally 7 of those and I chose that one. It was about as spicy as habanero salsa and was easily edible if you mixed it with the sour cream. 10/10
I recommend reading the manga first to get a bit of an idea & understanding. If not then just watch episode 1 around duration 14:13. Both the anime and manga shows that he studied Russian besides watching tv commercials with his grandad containing Russian.
The voice actress studied Russian in university. Almost certainly better than Kotomine Kirei's English, but not native. I am pretty certain all other Russian lines, including her older sister's, are pretty heavily butchered.
Hmm, she has an accent, and it’s “heavily butchered?” It doesn’t sound like she’s much better than Kotomine Kirei. For another comparison, have you guys seen Inglorious Basterds? On a scale of Lt. Aldo Raine’s (Brad Pitt) Italian and Lt. Archie Hicox’ (Michael Fassbender) German, where would Alya fall closer to?
