Lana leans heavily into the darker side of relationships. She understands that there is good and bad in every person, she writes about wrestling with her own demons whilst watching the person she loves also wrestle
Billie and Lana are very good friends. They performed together at Coachella. Lana even said that Billie is the voice of this next generation as she (Lana) was the voice for her generation.
You need to watch Blue Jeans because it follows the story line with the same tatted love interest. Follow that by watching Shades of Cool. In that video, Mr Tats is older and, as seen here, Lana is dead, so Shades of Cool is more of the guy looking back at the relationship and seeing her ghost. Her voice is amazing!
She's so talented happy she's having her moment right now and being one of the most successful artists at the moment, also I just watched your reaction to Young and Beautiful.
There is a noticeable growth with Lana, which is best noticed by going album-by-album. Doing all of the music videos for her 10+ years first might muddle that, but I also understand the appeal of something visual. The music videos for her first album: -Video Games -Born to Die -Blue Jeans -National Anthem -Summertime Sadness -Carmen (homemade, like Video Games) Extended version of her first album: -Ride -Blue Velvet -3 music videos in short film Tropico -Burning Desire Second album: -West Coast -Ultraviolence -Shades of Cool Third album: -High by the Beach -Music to Watch Boys To -Freak Fourth album: -Love -Lust for Life Fifth album: -Mariners Apartment Complex -Venice B*tch -2 song music video: F*ck It I Love You & The Greatest -3 song music video: Norman F*ing Rockwell, Bartender, Happiness is a Butterfly Sixth album: -Chemtrails Over the Country Club -White Dress Seventh album: -Arcadia -Blue Banisters Eighth album: -Candy Necklace
And don't forget Lana's home-made video montage/collage for 'Off to the Races' from the 'Born to Die' album. A lot of people forget that it exists: ruclips.net/video/KZkGbTNGHNo/видео.html
As someone who also just discovered Lana in 2024, and had that interest turbocharged by the Coachella set… I greatly appreciate your efforts in putting this list together!!
If you continue with Lana’s discography, do it in order from Born to Die and end on Ocean Blvd and you’ll see her journey through her music from alt rock, jazz, some rap, pop, and more
Lana is an incredible artist, her style, her voice, she created something unique of her own that influenced many artists today, you have to see her impeccable discography brother, and great reaction.❤
Each Lana album sounds different and I really like it. Her voice, vocal style and her image are very amazing. She's really great. My favorite albums: Born to die, Ultraviolence, NFR
You really cannot go wrong with any Lana song or video. The videos that I tend to watch repeatedly are Blue Jeans, White Mustang, High by the Beach, Doin' Time (Sublime cover), Ultraviolence and Don't Call Me Angel (collab with Ariana Grande and Miley Cyrus). Other songs that I replay often are 13 Beaches, Cherry, National Anthem, Music to Watch Boys To, Freak, F***d My Way Up to the Top and Chemtrails Over the Country Club. (I am sure that I missed some those lists.) Thanks for a great reaction.
Right 😭 I was gonna leave the video for a second like what?! He's one of those guys, probably thinks guys having long hair or painted nails or having a hobby as "feminine" and "girly". Brother needs to grow up and mind his own business.
@@idksis6851he’s right. Men can’t be women or vice versa. People are all on a sliding scale of what we consider masculinity and femininity but that doesn’t make you a different sex than that of your birth (“gender” is made up bs). Having long hair and wearing lipstick does not make you a woman. You can’t pee on my leg and tell me it’s raining.
I wanna just leave a little quote i heard somewhere and have always loved. It’ll not only help you understand this track a bit better, or just understand this album, but really help you understand her music as a whole when you’re going through her discography. “In Lana Del Rey’s world, to love is to live. So to love the wrong person, is to be born to die.”
Lana is outstanding and definitely was a heavy influence on Billie Eilish. Billie has even said that. They are both big fans of eachother. As a matter of fact, Lana did an interview with Billie for a magazine last year. Can’t remember which mag though. You should react to Lana and Billie doing “ocean eyes” and “video games” at Coachella.
Her music is very cohesive. There’s an overarching story throughout all of her albums. It’s becaues she writes from the heart , about real things. Young and beautiful isn’t even on any album and you still recognized the pattern 😊
Billie, Taylor, Olivia, Lorde, etc. sm ppl have been influenced her FROM THE start bc born to die was a cultural reset. to me she created alt pop. Her lyrics and poetry r even better. And nobody has the unique voice she has. Btd is all about a toxic relationship that was bound to fail from the start, or born to die literally, and also btd is ab yolo, going w the flow of life and having fun at the same time. U better check out her ride music video (from btd paradise ep), i think its her best one.
Crazy how not many people liked her 10 years ago it wasn’t cool to like sad music but cause social media is making everyone depressed and anxious I feel like now more people like her
My favorite piece is RIDE. Its rather long but the introduction and the visuals are amazing. She likes themes that are nostalgic and melancholic and include themes of Americana. Enjoy. She doesn't do as well live but does a nice version of her first video VIDEO GAMES live on Letterman. And also the video LOVE. Enjoy!
Video Games, Doin Time, Dark Paradise, Radio, Summertime sadness, Ride, Cinnamon Girl, Love, Cherry, Say Yes to Heaven, all good ones pick anyone but please react to one of them!
Even tho I agree with you and that comment, but Aurora the Norwegian singer is the reason why Billie is an artist actually (she even admitted that) and she took a lot of inspiration from her! Idk if you ever reacted to Aurora but I recommend 100%
She's unbelievable! You have to check out her song and video for "Ride". IT'S A WORK OF ART!❤
DEFINITELY!
RIDE is literally my daily prayer.
Definitely needs to watch Tropico
Her music is just so timeless. National Anthem and Blue Jeans are great videos to check out too
summertime sadness is probably a song you’ll know i would recommend watching the video, It’s a very new listener friendly song
I think checking out albums is better rather than music videos

U should react to video games by Lana :))
Lana leans heavily into the darker side of relationships. She understands that there is good and bad in every person, she writes about wrestling with her own demons whilst watching the person she loves also wrestle

Bruh the “men becoming new women” was so uncalled for 😭
Right 😭 I was gonna leave the video for a second like what?! He's one of those guys, probably thinks guys having long hair or painted nails or having a hobby as "feminine" and "girly". Brother needs to grow up and mind his own business.
Thank you! I was so taken aback by that ... Such a pity, really.
