Does the water at the end of the lines get good flow or does it decrease as it goes down the line? OR how do you maintain even flow? Do you use pressure regulators? Thanks!
Was thinking of going full bore pvc for the in raised beds use, was considering using a sleeve over the pvc (thin fabric. nylon perhaps or thin cotton but natural fabrics would rot over time) to prevent ingress of dirt/mud/pests,etc. worth it or waste of time?
Yes, this system works better with shorter lengths. I did some 75 foot beds for a while and there was always too much pressure at the beginning and not enough at the end. This works great for 25 feet or less.
yeah but what about all that chlorine from your water, dont you ever think maybe your plants would prefer rain water ? I am talking about collectiong rain water to water them of course
We are fortunate enough to live in an area where we have un-clorinated irrigation water. So that isn't an issue for us. We also live in the desert so rain isnt a viable option.
It is a very useful blog and very important information about Mulch.
Glad it was helpful!

Thank you so much! I'm working on my system right now!

Your bigger worry will be debris or moss growth inside the pipes, i don't find outside dirt to be a problem.
I PVC safe for garden , does the pipe have any harmful off gas to the water that would be absorbed by the fruit/ vegetable
Is this course available with the monthly membership?
No this one isn't part of the gardening academy.
Any idea on the flow rate from the drilled holes? That seems like quite a bit of water coming from the little fountains in the live running shot.
Do you think a long bed (60ft) would lose water pressure down the line?
Yes, this system works better with shorter lengths. I did some 75 foot beds for a while and there was always too much pressure at the beginning and not enough at the end. This works great for 25 feet or less.
Wish you would show how you did it and how it actually working.
if he did, then you wouldn't want to take his course!!
when would you put the holes downward?
Educative video..👍
can this system be used from a rain barrel? working with 4th world families .
Sultana Jones yes it can. You just need to keep the system small, so it can deal with the low pressure of the rain barrel.
Or raise the barrel. 75ft above ground will produce about the same psi as your kitchen sink
I need a bit more information on how to build a PVC Irrigation System. Maybe a video or your seminar could be helpful.
