🤣 Isaac just does his own thing…🤣 I’ve tried many times, many ways to advise him on pack weight and carry styles. Funny thing is…. He never complains about shoulder pain or fatigue from the pack. He also does a crossbody thing with his trekking pole. I’ve tried to correct him on that also… his response is that he’s the one always waiting on me to catch up🤣🤣. Thanks for watching! Thanks for the comments and advise !
I just reviewed this video to see what you were commenting on….. Isaac did purchase a new pack since we went on this trip. He does still just throw it on a start walking though.
I agree. The exhaustion makes for some fantastic dreams too. But one thing a multi day trip cannot do, in fact I don’t think anything can do….. make a Cliff Bar taste good!
I’ve heard many people say that this wilderness has some of the best views in Colorado. I’m not sure about that, but I’ve been there 4 times now and have loved it every time !! Thanks for watching !!
Went elk hunting in there in 1981 ,4 of us we harvested two bull elk 9 miles in ,my pack was 106 lb going in .I lost 18 lbs in 11 days ,did have one horse that carried the wall tent and his oats ! Beautiful country ❤
I think I’d like to go elk hunting sometime. I love that time of year , in fact I’ve been in Weminuche area during elk rut one year. Didn’t get much sleep due to the bulls calling all night. One thing for sure …. I’m not carrying 100 lbs on my back. I’m getting too old for that.
We did part of your path last summer. We went from Flint Lakes to Ute Lake. That seemed to be easier because we knew the general direction. The Window is awesome. We climbed up to it. I posted video ruclips.net/video/ztDsNfZM0v4/видео.html Such an incredible area. Keep up the good work!
I’ll definitely be back . I feel I need to do the Chicago basin area and maybe try to do the 14ers there . Thanks for watching ! I’ll check out your video too !
Your poor Son looks like he could benefit from a pack with load lifters. Hard when you pack sits that low. Beautiful scenery. Thanks for sharing

Beautiful. I love multiday trips of any kind... hiking, canoeing, bike touring.... that's when you get back to a proper frame of mind!

Thanks for sharing this, Michael.
The San Juans are my favorite area of Colorado.
I hope to be back into the Weminuche next year.
The Weminuche wilderness was my first Colorado experience. I’ve now been back 3 more times….. it’s a very cool place. Thanks for watching!!
@@michaelpetersonbackpacking6077 It has different vibes than any other place I’ve hiked in Colorado.

Awesome place! I'm partial to the San Juan's myself. 🙂
If only us lowlanders could roll out of the car and hike hike there without so much trouble breathing. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@michaelpetersonbackpacking6077 I figure if we could remove Kansas, it would make Co way closer!
No goats?
Not yet…. It’ll be a little while , but this is a place that I’d like to use them.
