- When Tond, an elderly retiree, wakes up from a minor stroke, he realizes that he doesn't really have any friends anymore. After several unsuccessful attempts to reconnect with his mean old wife, Janice, Tond turns to song for solace and consolation. This oddball musical comedy, set in the drab landscape of suburban North Texas, reluctantly reveals the deep isolation inherent in post-retirement blues.

this is genius! Take a realistic scenario, an old couple, and really zoom in on their lives; How they must feel, what they do and add some dark humor. My god, so much talent in this short film. Really brilliant guys! Not enough people doing what you're doing.
This was a good wake up. I've had 168 MCIs myself and have a bad hand palsy. I also find myself a bit lonely as disease progressed and colleagues, family, and friends left me like "fleas off a bathed dog" (that's Tond talk). This was lovely and relatable. It's about connection no matter the age. Its about heart. Thank you!
i love that you related. and thank YOU for watching this and commenting genuinely. my father suffers from a hand palsy from stenosis. he's served as some of the inspiration for this character, though i'd like to think that Tond has always lived inside me.
@@TheKellyHudson Kelly, it has taken me over 1 year to say thank YOU for sharing your heART inspiration for this (still) lovely short film. I've watched Tond many times, for many reasons. Since I wrote last; I've been misdiagnosed twice, which resulted in me being poisoned with chemo/radiation, and forever damaged by Disease Modifying Drugs. What I do have is a rare genetic disease that does not yet have a name. It is too new to the human population. There is not much left of me, anymore, other than deep loneliness. Now, I cannot watch Tond without crying. Some tears are good... the not so good tears make me want to hug Tond and sing a weird, wonderful song TOGETHER. Connection to humanity; this, I and we, cannot forget! I truly hope you are happy, healthy, and in harmony. Please continue in your amazing artistic expression! It matters, greatly. It is amazing how little we know as humans about the wonders of our bodies. There is so much more to learn. Most people's parents turn into this.
This is actual life for alot of people. This comes off as some detached person, who has never been actually lonely for an extended period of time best guess at what it's like. Just poking fun, not making a point etc. Like they talked to someone like this at a grocery store and thought it would be super profound to make a short film about them, well it's not. It just comes off as tone deaf.
I love the work that went into this but Im not with it.

when i clicked on this video I thought its a Musical film, but i did not find any thing related to music in it, even the short song they put in it felt like someone was talking and they add the music later please remove "Musical" in the film title.

This is an insincere, satirical rip on a serious situation a lot of aging men feel. It says in the description, a comedy, there was nothing funny to this. I have no idea why it has such rave reviews below me. I don't normally see such positive comments on a Jash video, so either there is an outside element, or a unexplained aspect. The dialog is forced, the emotions aren't there, WHY dress a women up and have her try to ape a man? Her voice sounds nothing like a mans, it shakes you out of any meaningful emotion. I can taste the spite you have for testosterone in your final joke(?) that song. The audio transitions from reality, to music video level for some reason, and the lyrics are just jabs at "prideful men" I am surprised she didn't sing "Ohhhh my masculinity is so fragile, and toxic, and I am a mannnnn" it would have been just as nonsensical and insulting as the original.

I'd love to answer any questions you have. I assure you that this was sincere, though intended to be funny as much of life's painful situations can be. Nobody dressed me up and had me do anything. This project was from my heart. Something I've worked very hard to bring to fruition. This is a character I've done for ten years as a love letter to men in my family, men I've met, a pocket of American culture that is dying off, they way I've felt misunderstood as a woman then translated to empathy for how men must feel. Sorry that this hurt you.
