I grew up on a small farm of about 100 acres, 30 - 40 cows, and experienced some of the same chores and dreaded times of calving season. Glad I can sit in recliner, in a warm, dry house and watch the events of y'all's place. You and your Dad have such a great relationship, I encourage you both to hold this as a dear, priceless gift and don't take it for granted.

And, you provide such a wonderful birthing place for them, they could at least clean it up when they are done.. What kind of insurance do they have any way?? She is a wonderful wife that puts up with the bizarre hours that all of us have in this profession and she has not only supported me in it, but she has been a true partner in the journey as well as a wonderful mother to our 2 boys. I’ve always hung breach calves over a rail gate or fence for 3-5mins after birth, gravity helps clear the mucus better from mouth & nasal passages. Good job.
