In other bosses that are big and doesn't move that much, if you use activate it close to them, the arrow will go in circles doing damage all the duration of the attack, it does more damage than the arrow that explodes

The explosive talisman give arrow when fully upgraded when it is detonated at full charge (three qi). The Qi swipe jade, that gives one more qi charge slot, and give two qi charge and inflict internal damage per precise parry. The Divine hand jade, that allows to chain unbounded parries. The swift blade jade, that increases attack speed, at the cost of internal damage. The last stand jade for higher damage output (when low hp). The last slot is probably the swift descent jade, for faster dodge.
He's using the jade that give him extra damage when he's low HP. If he start using the jade that transfers internal damage, he wont be low HP anymore and lose those extra damage.
Studying this and trying to guess the jade build: - Hedgehog Jade (parry inflicts internal damage), I speculate this based on the fact that the boss seems to take internal damage on your parries. Hard to clearly understand - Divine Hand Jade (perform continuous unbounded counters) - Qi Swipe Jade (get 2 charges of qi instead of 1, take internal damage when parrying instead of regenerating). This is necessary to keep the health low - Last Stand Jade (+25% damage on low health) I still wish there was a way to use the one that transfers the internal damage. For arrows: Shadow Hunter X Spell style: Qi Blast EDIT: Corrected setup - Swift Blade Jade (increase triple slash attack speed, but attack inflicts internal damage). To keep low health - Divine Hand Jade (perform continuous unbounded counters) - Qi Swipe Jade (get 2 charges of qi instead of 1, take internal damage when parrying instead of regenerating). This is necessary to keep the health low - Last Stand Jade (+25% damage on low health) - 1 slot is empty (choose what you like)
@@FireDragonDoLYou can definitely use the Reciprocation Jade in a build to fight her if you want to. It obviously won't be as efficient as the madness in this video, but I had fun with Reciprocation, Divine Hand, Steely, Qi Swipe, and the Full Control spell style.

It took me 6 hours of straight getting my arse beaten though it wasn't the true ending sadly. Need to play and get everything to face this one.
I just realized I never even tried using the shadow hunter arrow. I had no idea it hits twice.

Unbounded counter is so cool. I use it all the time against bosses
I ignored it whole game and learned it in last fight, really satisfying wih chain unbound counter
