Another tip: Use your flashlight to look inside the nib. There is a standing piece in there that connects to the inner tip and can bend after aggravated use or falling. Sometimes it’s a matter of alignment. If you can’t get that piece to arrive I indirectly got the idea to look inside from this video - when he was discussing nib issues. Great job and thanks. Hope this might help someone else.

Realized that my 2nd gen apple pencil had stopped charging. When attached, it would start charging for a second then stop. I tried forgetting it and re-pairing. now the pencil won't show up at all😭.. both ipad and pencil are brand new😥

I did everything before but none of this worked. I even had to hit forget device, completely restart my iPad, and now since I can’t restart or calibrate the Apple Pencil, I’m just going to try to let it die so then it would basically restart. If you were wondering, I cleaned out the Apple Pencil completely and even got new tips! The tip in screwed tightly too. I guess my sister dropped it a few too many times. Oh well, I’ll get in touch with apple soon then. But this would still be so helpful if my Apple Pencil wasn’t all screwed up like this.😅 can’t trust her with things like this anymore. I’m going to save this video for this exact reason. Still, thank you for helping everyone else here!

For me, it was the bluetooth, I just clicked on the lil blue “ℹ️” near the “connected”/“disconnected” and click forget device than re connect it. I have a friend who also has a problem with her Apple Pencil but the Bluetooth trick didn’t work for her, but for me it did so if it doesn’t work for you it doesn’t mean it’s unfixable.

I can't get my pencil 2 to pair anymore like its end of life. I've fully charged my iPad, rest all settings, reset network devices and forgot device (won't ever show up now). I had the pencil for a year and I've trouble with it for the last 4 months with it pairing. I always keep my pencil attached when I'm not using it. When I attach the pencil it just shows the white pencil logo that slides from the right and then go away. It doesn't show battery level or nothing. Nothing works now and I'm forced to buy a new one. Does keeping it on the magnetic charger over charges the pencil battery? Did I fry it or something. This is extremely frustrating. Apple support couldn't help and I missed my 1 year warranty by 52 days 😡.

Just stopped working once again. Ive noticed that whenever it stops is after me dropping it on accident... Dont want to get it replaced so i just have to deal. How long has yours not worked for?
I got my iPad yesterday and it paired with pencil but pencil just didn’t respond. It is screwed well, it’s fully charged, it’s paired well, the update is latest. God knows why it isn’t responding. It’s not even like it paired and worked at first and later started the weird thing. It hasn’t responded at all.
kevin teguh w hey! Mine works now. I don’t know if it did on its own or because of what i did with the nib. I first almost unscrewed it and then screwed tight little by little and after every turn i would test the pencil. Towards the end it started responding and it works all fine now. I’d suggest you try that too maybe it could help? Not sure but do try:)

Somnath Das do you have all the things checked? The latest update, the tight tip, paired connection, properly charged?
If not then make sure you keep all these in place, and even then it doesn’t work, i will suggest you to take a call appointment with apple support! They would help.

It worked! It was the tip was loose on my Apple Pencil. Just remove the tip and close it really good. That should fix the charging issue.
It was so simple. The tap function wasn't problematic. New to the pen. This was my problem

You can also just restart your device, I was panicking at first because none of these were working for me but I just restarted my iPad and everything went back to normal

I have the pencil 2 and it was not recognized by my new ipad mini 6 gen in any way. Neither resetting, nor turning off and on the bluetooth.
In the end, I removed the case and it detected it immediately and started charging, it seems to have been some kind of problem with the magnets in the case.
So if you do not recognize the pencil 2, I recommend you try without the case.

Bro ok so my pen looks(?) just fine in every possible way. I’ve tried the Bluetooth thing and looking to see if there’s something wrong with my tip multiple times. I’ve tried checking the thing inside that makes the Apple Pencil working and it is also just fine with no bending issues or anything that I am aware of. I don’t think I need a new tip and I defiantly do not want to have to buy a new pencil in all. Do you have any idea what’s going on?
If your apple pencil shows the pop up bar but does not properly connect, I suggest heating it up the pencil and the charging place a tiny bit to rebirth the battery because it has been dead! It worked for me! ;)
Using like a blow dryer on hot mode or using friction to hea up the pencil

If you don't see the apple pencil extra settings just place it on the iPad, make sure Bluetooth is on and from general apple pencil you'll have the extra settings

My pen ended up being broken beyond repair... but that's also thanks to my mom who basically dissected it (aka breaking it even more) so I ended up just having to buy a nee stylus 🤷♀️ I found one on Amazon for I think $25 and it's been working fine. Doesnt have to be an apple pen. Just need to make sure its comparable with your ipad
@@artsysabs thats a stylus, not an apple pencil lol- with the 2nd gen you stick it on ur device and it charges
the 1st gen you take the top off and attach it to your ipad charging port

None of this worked for my second gen pencil. Even when it is magnetically sticking to my iPad, the Bluetooth (which is on), isn’t giving me a pull down menu.
