      @sasajungic89 2 года назад

      @@seanoconnor8135 let’s hope so. But I’m sad to see MGU-H go. It’s a fascinating technology. And F1 cars sound epic irl. I don’t know why they don’t capture the sound of them in a better way for TV. Honda sounds epic of throttle irl. Best clip is 2019 Brazil qualifying. They got the sound pretty similar but it’s ten times louder when you are actually there. Mercedes is super loud when it’s in qualifying mode

    • @seanoconnor8135
      @seanoconnor8135 2 года назад

      @@sasajungic89 I'm happy that they are getting rid of it. It has no real relevance to the road car industry as it's just too complex and expensive to develop. Besides, most manufacturers will skip straight to BEV. The MGU-H is also responsible for a lot of mechanical failures and grid penalties for taking new components which just kills the sport. As for sound, the cars have gotten louder since 2014, partly due to the changes in exhaust configuration (dedicated wastegate outlet) and I guess parrtly because they have been developed to make more and more power. They were the quietest cars all weekend when I first saw them line in Melbourne 2014 though

      The Yaris & i20 are pretty equal to be honest, what makes the difference is reliability. The i20s has been encountering so many mechanical failures this season (mostly from suspension problems) compared to the Yaris.
      Although having all three of their drivers doing consistent results is also a good thing for Toyota.

      @@diesel-td1946 From what i remember, M-Sport decided to took the Fiesta's development to another direction (forgot which part) but seems like it's actually make the car a lot worse. Plus, they're focusing their resources for the new Rally1 Puma, so there's another reason why Fiesta WRC's sudden dropped in performance.
      As for Citroen, the C3 was very much a flawed car even with Ogier driving it.
