To mark the 85th anniversary of the outbreak of World War II, today I will tell you about the defense of Westerplatte and who actually led it. This is a story where the myth of Major Henryk Sucharski triumphed over the truth of Captain Franciszek Dąbrowski. You will find out why this happened. I have titled this film “Myth and Reality. I’ll recount the story of the Main Armory Depot No. 2 in Stawy near Dęblin, from which General Kleeberg planned to use the arsenal to continue fighting against the Germans.
