The VA of Ai really is a talented one. She is Rie Takahashi. I heard she consulted the doctors to know how people talk while they are bleeding. Just watch this scene. 0:55
You know what's amazing about Ai? In many other scenarios, Aqua and Ruby would have pretty miserable childhoods (teen mom, lots of work, abusive childhood, etc.), yet she still wanted to give then the best. And when you think about it... isn't Ai's love actually pretty genuine? Even if she never believed it, her actions spoke louder than her words. She felt that she couldn't love anyone after all she experienced, yet she still wanted to make people happy.
I mean, I first saw this spoiler prior to watching it, so ik what'll happen to her when I watch the anime. But man, it hits differently after I watched it, considering that more details are adding up within the scenes plus a heartbreaking line that she said to her killer which all accumulates to a strong feeling of anxiety and sorrows as she's dying 😢 But yeah, her son will take vengeance for their mum's death, and I know the following episodes will be of reciprocation from this episode bc of the son's vengeance. Can't wait for the next release! Oh yeah just to add more, I hope she gets reincarnated too to see her children grow up into becoming an idol and actor. But who knows? I just hope so

Vietnam Flashback to manga panel of Honoka from Love Live, saving Kotori and Umi from getting stabbed by a fan, resulting in Honoka getting stabbed and dying in the process. We idol fans need to learn that our beloved idols are humans and will find lovers that are not us and have family with them, and that is perfectly fine. If we truly love them, we should be happy that they are happy in a relationship with another person that makes them smile.
@Jo Jo It was a fan made manga. I don't know it's name since I saw it on 4Chan many years ago. It still made me feel very sad which made me realize how much I liked Love Live. It didn't help that the artwork was basically identical to the anime but in black and white.
I don't understand. How do these idol fans expect their favourite idol to love a stranger without first being able to give out love to someone close in their family and friend circle? And I know that creepy stalkers exist in this industry because they obsessively love the idol. How come your life starts revolving around a single person when that kind of behaviour isn't healthy even when you are married to your spouse?
The thing is, idol culture in Japan is built to cultivate creeps like those, people who are prepared to sacrifice anything to get that one person to say that they love them...
Go ahead and live with your head held high! No matter how devastated you may be by your own weakness or uselessness…set your heart ablaze. Grit your teeth and look straight ahead.

I just hope that they get revenge on the killer. The anime got me hooked in the first half with how beautiful it is and this made me cry for an hour. Such beautiful eyes gone.
Spoiler:
The killer is dead before second episode
More Spoilers:
The Killer only knew about Ai's whereabouts because of the father of Aqua and Ruby.....
Let's just say, he's not exactly the best sort of person.
*WHY DID YOU MAKE ME WATCH IT TWICE?, MY HANDS MOVE ALONE TO WATCH THIS*
1:14 Man... This face is scary!
It was even scarier that she was smiling because of it's like she found peace...
Guess the animators were like: “let’s make death scary” so they included it. But those are my thoughts
Bro that shit is horrifying, been years I've watched gore and shit and this cartoon is the one that traumatized me the most
she, for the first and last time, said "i love you" and truly meant it. for her, that was like finding the meaning of life and she was able to die in peace. if that isnt enough to destroy your heart and emotions, i dont know what is
@@DHydra_ it was more than enough, and really caught me by surprise like no other anime death in the recent years, but what got me the most was AI‘s voice acting right after she said „I love you“ while seeing both her kids, as she sunk her head that emotional high pitch in great relief of her destroyed me entirely, still sad after 2 days 😢
Corpes in anime be like
I love HOSHINO ai lots of cry she never dies 💐
勧められて見たけど、こんなに泣けるアニメない!今もコメントしながら泣いてる
てか病むw
She passed away while looking at her dear child
The fact that her name "Ai" in Japanese means "Love" hits different 🥺🥺
And her last name is Hoshino - meaning I want... Love.
@@z55177 and hoshi also means "star" and she's the most famous idol 😭
Depending on the kanji used, it can also mean "sorrow".
"Artificial intelligence"
@@SaSo-mk6yh There are more than 1 languages dumbass.
I hardly ever tear up in movies or tv shows let alone cry in bed for 15min. This is one of the only few movies/shows that made me cry
The way she falls near the door, guarding Ruby and embracing Aqua is...💔
NOO I LOVED HER, THE FACT TAHT SHE REMEBERED HIS NAME, SHES TRULY SO PRECIOUSSSSS WHYY
Never expected that this wholesome ep 1 will end trajic ending and made me cry
Her death was the smoothest yet devastating death ive ever seen in anime world rn
I watched this completely blind thinking it was just some comedy and wholesome anime, needless to say I was left speechless
if someone ever asks who is my favorite idol, it's gonna be Ai Hoshino. Even if Ai is fictional, to me she is a real bonafide idol. I got so invested in this story that I never thought I would care this much.
Same for me, i love my favorite person and my favorite idol, Ai -san so much 😘😍❤️🌹, that i will always consider her as a real person
Man, i thought this anime was about i shiny smiley idol who enjoys her peaceful life with her two kids, and now look at this... god that broke my heart😥😭
fr
same
The like death eyes in Ai got me crying in a way its just sad i don't like it when a loved charchter dies in like the first ep its just sad asf and they used her as the anime cover like blud wtf
Understand dude.😭😭
this fucking broke me internally. rest in peace, Ai Hoshino.
In my years of watching anime I have never cry at any of them but this one literally got me crying
I remember someone recommending this manga to me long ago and stopped reading at this exact scene cause i was so distraught, now i get to see it animated 💀
I stopped reading here as well. I couldn't keep up with the sudden development.
And thus a star dies, only for a Supernova to follow up!
I saw the full Episode and at end I cried and rewatched many times. This anime is soo good that it will traumatize you and depressed you from your childhood and adulthood 😭😭😭😭.
THIS WAS FORESHADOWED DAMMIT
I KNEW THIS WAS GOING TO HAPPEN
BUT IT DOESNT HURT ANY LESS
This scene is going to be living in my head rent free for awhile…
When I saw the death frame of Ai I for real shit in my pants after this frame. It was damn brutal and creepy af!
even though i dont watch anime or read any manga
this makes me cry so badly
Damn so true ;-;
this made me feel ill with guilt and i could feel my soul being crushed, how the heck do you make somone feel this way about an animated character that you know for just over an hour,
masterpice
The VA of Ai really is a talented one. She is Rie Takahashi. I heard she consulted the doctors to know how people talk while they are bleeding. Just watch this scene. 0:55
I just couldn’t handle how hard this part of the anime put on me. I’m really surprised that I didn’t cry when watching
嗚呼、こんなにゾクゾクしてドキドキして不安になるのに引き込まれるアニメはない…
I mean, I first saw this spoiler prior to watching it, so ik what'll happen to her when I watch the anime. But man, it hits differently after I watched it, considering that more details are adding up within the scenes plus a heartbreaking line that she said to her killer which all accumulates to a strong feeling of anxiety and sorrows as she's dying 😢
But yeah, her son will take vengeance for their mum's death, and I know the following episodes will be of reciprocation from this episode bc of the son's vengeance. Can't wait for the next release!
Oh yeah just to add more, I hope she gets reincarnated too to see her children grow up into becoming an idol and actor. But who knows? I just hope so
I like how the kids grew up to be teenagers in 1 episode, man they sure do grow fast 😂
Technically, 3 episodes in a hour an half format with time skip. Seriously man?
@@SiliconDrifter I thought 4-5 episodes in 1 go
@@Quietlamacakes 20 minutes per episode(excluding op and ed) so uhh yeah 3.5 episode
@@zk-vd6uy one episode is around 18 minutes (opening and outro isn’t considered a part of the episode, it’s the same in every episode) the first episode was 88 minutes and that equals to around 5 episodes. Good one.
@@Quietlamacakes hmm i see
They were so brutal in drawing her looking like an actual corpse but it was such a good decision especially because it signifies so much. The loss of her stars in her eyes aka the light leaving her eyes, and the sight being traumatic to her children.
Just remember.. Ai means love in Japanese...
Yea that's the whole point of her character too
Ai also means sorrow
And hoshi means star
1:15 is terrifying, its so sad, why just why
0:05 *best part*
WHAT?!?!?!
Watching the death made me cry because it hit so hard, thinking you can loose someone just like that.
First anime to make me cry my God
Even expecting her death still doesn't prevent you from being hurt by what we see now. It's only episode 1 and our hearts were still destroyed by this anime!
And Ai's death was truly heartbreaking as we see how drawn out it was and how she even remembered the name of the one who killed her, the fan who killed her. And to cap it all off, she embraced Aqua and told both him and Ruby how she loved them, when she didn't love anyone else, and the stars in her eyes faded away as her life was taken from her, her children she loved, and us the viewers.
This scene breaks even the most resolute of viewers, and her sincerity towards her children when she said she loved them was the hardest hit to everyone watching this anime. This is something we'll never recover from, even after Aqua gets revenge. But we'll just have to live with it, and carry Ai's memory for as long as we will ourselves. That's all we can do, that's all that we can do.
You will be missed Ai, we always love you, as the best mom Aqua and Ruby could ever have. If only you weren't taken so soon, if only...
Oh an idol anime. Must be wholesome and cute.
*Watches episode 1*
……..
Cries for an entire day
kinda same but dropped tears for 30 minutes
I still can’t get over it, I’ve never been this emotional over a show before 😢

Vietnam Flashback to manga panel of Honoka from Love Live, saving Kotori and Umi from getting stabbed by a fan, resulting in Honoka getting stabbed and dying in the process.
We idol fans need to learn that our beloved idols are humans and will find lovers that are not us and have family with them, and that is perfectly fine. If we truly love them, we should be happy that they are happy in a relationship with another person that makes them smile.
Hold up I don't remember that part in Love Live
@Jo Jo It was a fan made manga. I don't know it's name since I saw it on 4Chan many years ago. It still made me feel very sad which made me realize how much I liked Love Live. It didn't help that the artwork was basically identical to the anime but in black and white.
@@PlatinumV3 you still know where to find it?
Am I the only one who thinks this scene got the same vibes, as "I gently opened the door..."?😭
Bro no stop
I am getting PTSD
@@skarv3cI don’t get it? What anime and what scene.
@RoseInnn Not an anime, but a visual novel called Doki Doki Literature Club, in which if you open the door a very bad thing will happen, in DDLC's case it's the protagonist's childhood friend h*nging herself
Miguel O'Hara: Bro, it's a Canon event.

I was sad after seeing her, and I knew that love is a war, and that treachery is an inevitable killer, and I was deeply saddened by the whisper she whispered after she opened the door.💔
I love you hoshino ai❤
This scene hurts me more than any other scene in anime. More heartbreaking than Your Lie In April.
Hey hey hey don't compare the two, Your lie in April still breaks me aaaa..
