This is a much needed video! Ran into a few issues, like the sound was gone, the whole unit came out of the frame (lol) and even the side buttons stopped working but all it took was a little experimenting and it worked flawlessly, thanks!
I broke the plastic housing that holds one of the clips. I suggest to people to take the sticker off (you can stick it back on afterwards). I could then actually see what I was doing. I lifted on the wrong side and broke the plastic. I freaked out but with a very small bit of tape was able to line it all back up so it clicks back together.
I changed my battery yesterday. There were a few tricky spots. Removing the piezo from the battery was very nerve-wracking as it is so fragile, I used a micro flat blade screwdriver to pry it up. After I replaced the battery I closed the case only to turn it over and the screen was blank. I found I hadn't reconnected the piezo properly. I pushed the two sides of the clip down and that fixed it. While removing the piezo, I managed to pull the entire insides out of the casing. I recommend making sure you don't do this. After this happened the top left and bottom right buttons weren't working. The top right worked again after I pushed it in the case better, but the bottom right button had a folded piece of metal that had to be in the right place so that when you press the outside button, it reaches the watch button. Do yourself a favour and make sure it doesn't come out of the case. Only took me 15 minutes, but had more than one moment while doing it where I thought I would have to visit the jeweller. Thanks for the video.
I don't understand the mechanism under the piezo. Is it a clip? a lever? I've been fiddling with it for half an hour and it won't come out. The videos make it look so easy but its not
Yeah this was not easy. My suggestions: Take the sticker OFF completely or at least at the side you're prying up on. I pried up on the wrong side and broke the plastic housing that clips. I got it off and the plastic came off with it. I fixed it by lining it back up and placing a very small square of painters tape to hold it in place like it was. I had to re-bend the metal prongs and fiddle with it quite a bit to get it to latch again. Watch works like new again. Sucks I broke the plastic piece. It's on the right side. Do not pry on the left side as the plastic will break off. Wish this video was more clear about that.
Nice video but...voice over would be helpful. My battery has some sort of metal bracket holding it in place, how exactly do you free the battery from this housing?
You need to lift the sticker on one side and use a pin, needle or micro screwdriver to pry the connector out. I believe that this is the piezo which controls the sound or vibration so be very careful. After changing the battery, make sure the connector is pushed all the way back in.
It's hard. I took the entire sticker off and could see a lot better. The one side (I think it's the right but I can't remember from what angle, make it come out. If you push up on the wrong side you'll break the plastic latch system underneath like I did. I had to re-tape it together with a small square of painters tape. Works again but it was a hassle.

Thx for doing this, it's very helpful. Quick question, aren't you supposed to apply a lubricant to prevent water intrusion?
I applied nothing and still save/ok to get it underwater
Thank you😊
How many years can such a battery work in this watch?
it has been a year and still on going
