Seems like at mid-season, there are four tiers of teams in each conference, all sorted by almost identical records, each comprising roughly a quarter of the teams in the league. BOS, PHI, MIL in the East, and OKC, MIN, DEN, and LAC in the West, are Tier 1 Contenders at roughly 30+ wins, and within a game or two of each other (23% of teams in the league). Tier 2 Competitors rounding out playoff spots are NYK, CLE, MIA, and IND, and in the West, SAC, PHX, NOP, and DAL. Lastly, there's a Tier 4 of tanking, featuring CHA, WAS, and DET in the East, and MEM, POR, and SAS in the West, all playing for lottery position 20+ games behind Tier 1 (20%). To me, this clustering suggests Tier 2 teams need to be the ones to make moves at the deadline to become more competitive, and we've seen that so far in the East - Rozier to MIA, Siakim to IND, Anunoby to NYK. How is the heat in front of Indiana with less wins and more losses
Does Shaq not know he finished 2nd in DPOY in 2000 behind Alonzo? lol
Defense Wins Championships and controlling the tempo and rebounding edge and maximum effort and attack the passing lane and maximum execution and consistency and keeping low turnovers and making their Free Throws !
@edwardjohn1116 ...I concur, totally!
True ....but you need to score...and score ..specially in pressure moments is the hardest part of the game.....ask the 2005 pistons...great defense but could not score in the 7ven game of the finals.
@@anhell32 ,,, that game was fixed , listen to Rasheed Wallace about the crooked officiating ,, good defense creates offensive possibilities !
@@edwardjohn1116 common man ...stop it 😅
@edwardjohn1116 if Joe dumars drafted melo ...detroit won like 2 more chips ...but he drafted darko ...cost the pistons at least 2 ships ...that is the true....THE LOSER ALWAYS HAVE AN EXCUSE..
The comment section hating Shaq again not something I expected
pause the video
put on 0:49 to 0:55 kenny rap
Denver is gonna make a move to get back in the finals just watch
Denver doesn't need any moves. Every team is just defending Aaron Gordon like he's Michael Jordan.
Knicks is one peace away from being a top contending team in the east
😂😂😂
Facts. What they just did to Denver says a lot.
We contending now sir. Add a bench scoring and we going for it all
@@shoquan9434 Nah you guys need one more star. Randle is bad in playoffs. Brunson, OG and Hart are awesome though.
@@hdttyson We don't need a star.
Cavs fan, would love to scoop Caruso
Daily reminder that shaq is mainly in this show for entertainment, not sound basketball analysis
Bucks backcourt is too small, at least find a better option than Beasley
Been in Atlanta to long
If Milwaukee ever made a trade like Middleton (& Draft picks) for say F.Wagner or Maybe a Klay Thompson that just might put them over the top???
We need to get Trae Young outta Atlanta and onto a contender
I had miss you shaq! You are generally a good you owe Noone anything😊😊😊❤
You can say the last in the league with bench points but they plus 3 with Joel embiid on the bench but they say Denver dnt need nothing but Denver -7 without joker on the floor make it make sense
Kenny : too many pawgs to plug😮
NY Knicks can beat Boston.
It's funny how they mention teams behind the Knicks in the standings.😅 Even 2 or 3 games back 😂. It's sad. Just respect my Knicks
If Bucks can get back to top 10 defense they are in contention.
Can the bucks snag Andre Drummond?
Jimmy buckets for cp3, draymond green for smart, klay needs to take a seat in the back and Steph will get his 5th ring.
Philly front office is sleeping.. they should have get Siakam they too slow other teams get him
NOBODY IS BEATING THE DENVER NUGGETS IN THE PLAYOFFS AND IN A SERIES AT ALL THE NUGGETS WILL WIN THEIR SECOND STRAIGHT NBA CHAMPIONSHIP
In ur dream this nuggets are different last year champions nuggets they let go 2 great players Bruce brown Jeff green
@@calioumarx4289 so my nuggets are still gonna be better than the rest of the teams in the west and east in the playoffs this year they will win it again
Clicked the video to see if Kenny’s hair transplant beard grew in on the right side yet 😂😂 NOPE! 🤣🤣
“You can’t n win a game scoring 90 points” Kobe’s era 👀👀👀.
Doc not a good defensive coach he only have good defense when he had players that played defense
How that works. Pacers have a better record all around and they behind the Heat. With literally a worst record
Idk what Philly going to do but all imma say is keep pat bev
Denver won it last year playing 7 guys for the most part .... 8 in the finals
The heat need to ad a defensive center and move bam to power forward.
Bucks need to move Middleton and get three pieces two wings and a pg
Sixers could use more depth at guard and small forward. Harris contract big enough to do it.
Lavine is a good player but not a game changer he doesn't win you games but he is talented.
Gsw Orlando and the kings could be a good fit for him.
DeMar needs a team that can easily use his mid range game and to me he is probably a sixth man I think the bucks could use him but contract to big and I don't see a way unless he is bought out there aren't many teams he fits on these days
76ers should go for derozen bucks brown
kennys slow, in the playoffs you only play 6-8 guys .. if you can have your 7th and 8th man be able to give you starter quality production any given game thats huge.. especially with the new apron coming were gonna see a lot more teams (basically built like Boston)with only 2 max guys and maybe another close one, and then their 4-8 spots are all gonna be good role players and pieces that fit their team. your 9-12 spots dont really matter in the playoffs when your best guys are playing 40+ min
With the Bulls and Golden State season heading the wrong direction I hope the Knicks trade for Klay Thompson or Zach LaVine.
