    The part where Ruth breaks down, when she reads his note, always makes me cry.

    An amazingly thought provoking, brilliantly acted and much under-rated movie...about bad choices we sometimes make, (especially early in life) and the desire for redemption & catharsis. 👍🏻

      There's lots of detains in the film that most people don't even realize.
      The music and the time the story took place has a lot to do with it's brilliance. Danial Craig helped it get produced.
      It's a story of youth, tragedy, and how we take so much for granted as we grow up. But in the end it's a love story and about healing from our past losses.
      The child Janes death was crushing. Actions or lack of always have consequences. Best to THINK carefully and take care.
      Jane's mother's last words really stuck with me. Crunching. 😢😢

    In an interview with the director Baillie Walsh, he was asked about Daniel Craig's involvement in the film. This is what Walsh said:
    "Honestly, without Daniel I would never have made it. I wrote it a long time ago, before Dan’s success, and luckily his success made it possible, so the end result of that is always wish your friends big success!"
    You can tell Walsh is a music video director. So glad he became friends with Craig before we was well known. Brilliant film

      @@benlotus2703 apparently you're not good at seeing details in this story. Some people just don't have a good eye for photography either.
      Even the lead in with the two boys playing has more details then you probably knew.
      Then again not everyone can be deep.

    ruth didn`t cry for her husband , he burried her husband withoud any tears for him , two words in a sheet of paper came from a song make her crying like a new born baby. the shorter memories with joe was greater than the 25 years with boots. that shows she loved joe .AND JOE LOVED HER . if its was by evelyn fault joe and her could be together. and i like the word of joe when he said , that . when i was young i though to be courageous is to act , wherthe for your dream or to get forward in life , the only reason to get the courage is to take all your responsibilitie to stand up :: i love those words.

    so sad story

    • @GOLDENFLYWARRIOR
      @GOLDENFLYWARRIOR 3 месяца назад +2

      It's a story full of reality with life being full of ups & downs. Actions or lack of DO have consequences. The only real sadness was the death of Jane and Joe being a coward to not stay around. Sad that Joe ran from his best friend, left his mom & family and ran from the love he might have had. But he was fortunate in another life he made which he was on his way in also destroying had he not had a second chance.
      Joe made his choice in the end. There was no going back yet only forward and with a heartfelt attitude for LIFE that he wasn't going to NOW take for granted. ❤💔❤️
