Super dope video I been thinking about moving outta my city but not sure if I should take that risk but I made my mind up thank you for that reassurance✊🏼
For me, leaving Richmond was one of the best decisions I’ve made. Literally waking up one day and deciding to move to DC was a decision that has come to benefit me. I’ve Ben here for four years and in that span I’ve gotten my masters degree from UVA, excelling in my career while excelling at commentating college basketball games and radio. If I would’ve stayed in Richmond there’s no way I am where I am now! You guys got everything right here. It seems to me everybody who decides to leave Richmond explodes at what they want to do when they leave. You have to grind but the reward is so worth it. With minimal distractions that can hold you back in your hometown, moving forces you to be clutch in your life under pressure. EXCELLENT EPISODE FELLAS
As bad as I didn’t want to leave Richmond, has had to because I was to comfortable. And there was no more value for me their. Dang, I was tough because at many points I wanted to run back but my cousin told me right to my face “Besides family, what else is there for you?” And at that point I knew and understood I needed to stop limiting myself to my hometown. The day I left, I never came back. Even moving to a different area it was hard getting acclimated but that was because it was new and I hadn’t rooted myself, and at this point I don’t regret leaving but I do appreciate where I came from.
As someone in my mid 30's and being in Atlantic City, NJ for so long, I absolutely see that moving out of my hometown is key. Especially with the economics not helping with any growth, it has been a long time coming to leave. I've had troubles moving out due to landing jobs and being able to save money. I believe I've somewhat put myself in a trap. But I appreciate this conversation, I also feel that not being with likeminded people has really limited my business and professional opportunities.
Great talk appreciate you guys keep up the great work 🔥🔥
