  • [EN] The Protocol of Good Livestock Practices in the Pantanal: Restoration of Native Grasslands, launched on June 15 at the Rural Union of Poconé (MT), is the result of a comprehensive set of research, strategies, and actions carried out in the field that highlight the best management practices to guide the "clearing of grasslands" and its restoration. These studies contribute to the maintenance of these areas and of the water resources, as well as the essential ecological services for economic development and the conservation of the biome.
Authored by researchers Cátia Nunes da Cunha, Alexandre Ebert, and Simone Francieli Guarnieri, the publication is an initiative of Wetlands International Brazil, funded by DOB Ecology, in partnership with the National Institute of Science and Technology in Wetlands (INAU), the Pantanal Research Center (CPP), and cattle ranchers of the Pantanal biome.
