It was already established that great damage is applied on Brago's body the more power is put into his ultimate spell. Sherry had utilized as much of Shin Baberuga Gurabidon that was safe, but I think if she and Brago brought out enough force to destroy Baou Zakeruga, Brago would have died. The simple version: the safe level of power of Shin Baberuga Gurabidon isn't enough to crush Baou Zakeruga. They really did lose.
even though it was obvious Zatch would become king since that's the story, i was still kind of rooting for Sherry and Brago since they were always my favorite characters
I can only imagine what this fight looks like animated and the only osts I can hear in the background is all the openings to the show merged into one single medley!!!

Did you even see Shin Beruwan Baou Zakeruga? If Zatch used that against Brago, the fight would’ve been over right away. It was so far stronger and bigger than Shin Kuria, that Clear was cowering at the sight of it. Zatch was the strongest demon child.
Well, this isn't a fair and square fight since kiyomaro uses his all knowing answer talker against sherry and brago and sherry didn't possess any ability like this and zatch used his mantle which brago didn't possess😅😅😅. So Its zatch and kiyomaro's dominance.
@@dhirajdighe6619 the fact that Zatch needed Answer Talker, the broken spell Bao and his mantle to not be obliterated by Brago is just a testament of how amazing Sherry was as a partner. She went through hell and back with Brago despite being an average human. Its why I loved this finale, she was the best character imo, and while they didnt win the battle, they were arguably the strongest team outside of Clear's hax. This battle could have gone either way since Sherry and Brago battled flawlessly.

Zatch likely would have never had the chance to use Bao otherwise. A couple of cool what ifs would have been Gorm vs Brago, Ashuron vs Brago, Bari vs Brago, etc. Bari was immensely powerful despite not being one of the four supreme.
