Amazing!
Yo I did that turkey
When I first heard about little kids watching other kids open toys on youtube I thought "wtf is wrong with our youth?!" But here I am a grown man watching another grown man open Pokemon's 🤣🤣
lol but toys and pokemon are different
My daughter might start yelling at me for this exact reason 😂
It’s different tho lol
lmao
Pokemon is fore grownups it’s different
Wow! Finding a stash full of old Pokemon cards is legit the stuff of legend. Looking forward to seeing the whole find!
“Anyone want a first edition dark charizard holographic?”
*raises hand quietly*
yes
Ah spoiler alert
Yes I have it but it's not holographic pokemon card man.
Pushkar Joshi I have a non holo unlimited one but it’s not in good condition :,) traded a kiddo for it a few years ago
I have one nonholo tho
The guy that owned this storage unit initially was smart. There is no way he couldnt Make ends meet and miss the bill on his unit. I'm willing to bet he unfortunately passed in an accident or from an illness.
He better not open these I would kill him if he did I hate these famous RUclipsrs opening stuff like this
@@Sbc.54 LMAOOO you won’t do anything you loser 😂
@@sean9776 that’s rude don’t say that

Hey I just wanted to say I really was taken back to a nostalgic place in this video when you mentioned the packs from the storage unit. The Rocket booster packs that had the sticker on them of the store 'Ames'. Ames was a store sort of like a Walmart/Kmart back in the earlier to late 90's. I believe they closed in the early early 2000s. Ames was located in Rhode Island. I used to occasionally buy my cards from there. Definitely a cool point in the video for someone like me who has actually been to that store and purchased boosters from it in the 90s. Keep up the great videos! I love watching the original packs opening sessions.. your content appeals to all age groups who love pokemon cards. Awesome job!!
I remember Ames in Rhode Island!!
Dang did leanhart want a essay from you
Storage Owner: So how much are u wanting to buy?
LeonHart: Yes
OH MY GOD! If I’d find something like this, my screams of pure joy would be heard across the pond.. all the way from Ireland to you 🤣🤣 this is so darn amazing!!
6:54 "I know you're getting some nostalgic memories right now"
*if I was born about 10 years before i was born I would*
Ya
Mee too
Man this video blew my mind!! The find of a lifetime! The damn Holy Grail of Pokemon finds... You’re one fortunate dude to be placed in such a bountiful spot in life. Peace.
my son and I found that pokemon puzzle at a flea market for $0.25 . it was opened but had all the pieces, just no stickers. my 5yr old son had it put together within half hour of getting home. he is obsessed with pokemon so its really awesome to be able to get back into pokemon with him as something we both enjoy. we watch all your videos, your awesome! thanks
This is so amazing! I’m just getting into Pokémon as my 4yr old has a collection of over 400 cards. But this is amazing!!! Those crystal cards were beautiful btw!!!
TCA gaming is flipping his lid while watching this. Lol
😂😂😂
He has enough packs and boxes 😂
@@alexmann8372 I know right!
Big moves, was it Barry from Storage Wars? That sly fox 😭
His name is Andrew he posted it to facebook and caused a stir in the wotc community. He is just a contractor who specializes in tile and stone. he Does storage units on the side
This is so extremely satisfying to watch!!! So much nostalgia!
The Zapdos at 16:05 is fairly modern, maybe black and white era. I wonder how or why it got mixed in with the rest of those old cards lol
12:18 I have a few of those Cool Porygon promos. I think if I remember correctly, it came in the Pokemon Stadium N64 game. It might have also been distributed at the pokemon league events that used to be run at Toys'R'Us 19:36 I had that!!... and still have the bag and the coin =D ... and 21:30 I've still got tons of those pokemon badges!
I had never knew the Ho-ho card pack came from until today as I have bought just the Ho-ho when I was a child for $5 and I still have it in great condition.
There was an Ames store near my hometown in upstate NY! Binghamton, NY!!
Do you still have all the heavy hitters that were there now, Lionhart? That lot is easily worth over $120k now. What a fun lot to come across!
I’m not gonna lie if I ever saw this in real person my heart would have burst, this brings so much nostalgia.
Man...that puzzle. I had that exact same puzzle when I was a kid. My mom and I put that together and used puzzle glue to hold it all together. We nailed it to the wall right above my head frame and it was like a poster. Good memories, I'm sure I have a picture of it in my room somewhere.
I am glad you were the one who managed to buy this, the collection is in very good hands.
When I heard about a local guy buying this storage unit collection, I figured it was you. Congrats Leonhart. Especially on the boxes.
Piezers TV is there any news or article about it?
Bro how can I find storage units to just bid on and buy so you bought this not knowing if there was any Pokemon cards in it at all?? I dunno seems to good to be true
eddyfazly Not that I know of but Pokémon Revolution did a video on it.
rice guitar Look up storage auctions bud. These happen every day.
@@RiceMandolin He says he bought it from the guy who bought the unit
When you said Ames, the nostalgia kicked right in. I remember over 20 yrs ago being a kid in MA and going to Ames all the time in the Summer. Loved pokemon when it came out. I would say Ames was like Kmart before they all went out of business, just like Kmart. That is an amazing find. Congrats!
Leon is literally living the dream!!
Such a lucky man!!
You're awesome Leon!
Thanks for letting us live vicariously through you!!
I remember Ames. It was a K-mart type store. Closed when I was a kid.
The missing two sampled packs are probable the heaviest ones lol
Leonhart! Ame’s was a department store much like Kmart, that was around from 1956-2002, a good piece of department store history.
Ames was a big retailer on the east coast are used to go there all the time
Man I love watching your videos, and bringing back all the nostalgic memories! Am I the only one who gets depressed knowing I’ll never be able to experience these kind of pleasures since old school cards cost a fortune? Oh well. At least you share your joy with us🤘
I remember seeing those growing up. It's crazy to think years later they'd be rare and worth money
Aimes was a department store that went under in about 1999 like a Walmart I remember going to the store last day and Pokémon cards where .05 a pack. I bought so many but opened them all.
Lol, I was also starting my junior year after the summer of 2000. Just wish I wouldve had the foresight to save pokemon cards.
And wasnt Pokemon 2000 the name of the second feature film?
I’m going storage shopping from now on😂
Your estrogen levels will go up to match this guy if you do.
Ames was like kmart back in the day I’m 29 and still remember Ames
Miss that store lol
I was just about to comment this. We had an Ames in my hometown in NY. I'm also 29 and remember it from my childhood!
I'm 24 and I remember Ames lol
Damn, wish I found a storage unit like this
When are you going to open everything
My first thought aswell haha
I hope he doesnt open it all, I enjoy the openings but sometimes it's best to leave things sealed.
@@jessejr9769 why? There made to be opened
@@lxtorana100 I said I dont want him to open them all. Of course I want to see some opened packs but I enjoy the sealed stuff also.
That Pikachu World Collection is pretty dang cool. I was able to get my hands on a Gold/Silver/Crystal Japanese promo collection (done pretty much like that Pikachu collection) when they were just being brought into the TCG world. I still remember the utter joy that coursed through that younger me.
Thanks much, for all the nostalgia your channel brings.
I remember that pikachu binder. It wasn't just at the olympics, you could buy them in stores, like Big W ect. Brings back so many memories. I knew a kid who got one and I traded him for 3 of the cards. I still have them in a folder, in mint condition.
Cool Porygon is a promo card you got with pokemon stadium on Nintendo 64
The bundle of the N64 with Stadium actually.
Later it was given away at leagues which I was able to get it that way.
Also it's a remake of the Japanese 1996 Porygon cd promo
It’s a 2002 promo also
Wow such nostalgia. I also went religiously to the leagues way back in 2000. My biggest regret is not keeping those e-series cards. When they changed the card format, i kinda got turned off coz i didnt want cards having different interface. I was very active from base set to neo revelation then my interest slowly died down in aquapolis, then completely quit after skyridge.
Just wanted to say that your charisma in the videos are unmatched and it inspired me to open my own online card shop and truly enjoy the life I am living with the nostalgic comforts that come along with it!
Imagine going to the bank and asking for a loan of 50k for Pokemon cards. lol
Omg that just made me spit up 😂😂😂
Vordt of the Boreal Valley he probably has it in his bank account. His channel is very successful
Jokester 954 joke: “I think I’ll fly right over your head.”
8 months later and this collection is worth 150k+ the bank might have laughed but it would have been an amazing investment lol
15k, He's made that in views in the past few months easily. He can profit off of one box and still come out ahead.
01:35 I went to get 16 shots in one day at the doc to test for allergies and after went to wizards of the coast and my mom got me that deck
Wow, just wow!
I almost lost it when I saw that Ames sticker!!!!! I live in Maine. Ames was a retail store just like Walmart. Ames was my go to store for my pokemon cards as a kid.
I love watching you and your videos. I lost all my Pokémon cards from my childhood and just wanted you to know you’re the reason I’ve returned to collecting again and it’s been so exciting and fun just to open Pokémon cards again. Thank you !
When he didnt WOOP THERE IT IS for the wooper in the bulk, i was kinda sad.
Dude how did you find a guy who found this ? Asking for a friend
99% he gets offers like this because hes famous and people will try him if the want to sell in bulk. there are not many options to easily sell huge quantities like this
That Porygon card came from the movies whenever you go to the theaters that give you movie packs and they look just like that
Amazing!!! I had all of that when i was younger and unfortunately gave it all to my little brother when i joined the military!!
That was a nice trip down memory lane!!
Leonhart: "What!!? How are there more booster packs!! I had no idea!! "
Leonhart: I saw the cards last night, nothing special.
Hmmmmmmmmm
14:30 Pikachu looks like sad cat meme xD
That sealed Pikachu promo card...SURPRISE! Pretty sure there's a meowth behind it. Go check! All the ones I see sealed online have pikachu and meowth in them.
Ames was a discount store on the east coast and part of the upper south and mid west. They closed all stores in the early 2000s. We had one in my home town when I was a child. I know I’m late to the video but if that pack is still unopened you should leave it that way
What do you do with all the Pokemon cards which aren’t rare or special?
I couldn't imagine this man's extra pokemon card collection. I'd love to see it tho
Card boxes. I have 3 almost full that hold 8,000 each
Hey leonheart ames was a store that was around back when I was about 10 or 12 more on the east cost I'm 26 now and they had rlly good deals on trading cards
My coworker just sold me his collection when he was a kid an didn't know they was worth anything like that. Tons of unopened packs, the entire first edition set. Pretty cool to get all this stuff after it not being in my hands since I was a little kid! Cool stuff man!
18:15 best puzzle ever
Crazy to think that this collection is legit worth near $1 million a year later!!

If an experienced Pokémon collector can tell me how much each is worth that would be great!
Love this dudes content but man he has way to much energy :P I need to take a 20 min break every 10 minuites just to watch haha.
4:00 when you've been dating a smokeshow for a month, but she's deeply religious.
😂
Wow. I'd love to find a storage unit with this stuff in it.
Sign me up too
I definitely had that puzzle 😂
It was kinda cool but definitely a case of relatives thinking anything “Pokemon” is the same as cards
I live in Cleveland and Ames was a department store similar to Walmart and Kmart, they sold a little bit of everything. I remember a few from when I was younger, they’ve long been out of business. Very nice find!!
Wtf why did I get this at my recommendations?
Holy this collection is epic, the nostalgia hit me pretty hard on this one. Nice video man.
I’m from Buffalo NY and Ames used to be a store here that i used to get my cards from when I was a kid
If I’m having a crap day I just listen and watch this channel
what kinda psycopath would left those behind
To quote MossyOak: “It’s not a passion, it’s an obsession” haha
lol
would love to know what the story behind this collection was, i think it probably belonged to a collector and not a store just because of all the loose cards but then again old cartoon/comic/card shops did tend to sell loose holographic cards.
Leonhart "Don't go no where!"
Me rooted right here and watching :)
The guy should do voice overs... his voice is perfect for that...
I think he does, but I could be wrong
He definitely does. What he did before RUclips and still does I think. He did the voice for a character in the one piece anime as well as a few others.
I lived in Connecticut for 16 years and AMES was in business when I was a kid. It sold everything from clothes to toys. It close in early 2000's.
18:05 The reason that shirt has a #25 on the back is because Pickachu's pokédex entry number is 25. Kinda interesting, isn't it? Just thought I'd give you that information. I kinda looked it up though lol not gonna lie, but I figured I'd share with you. Love your videos Leonhart!
Im watching this high asf I can’t tell if it’s staged or not😭
bro r u slow
Man i feel sorry for the dude who saved them in hopes of them becoming expensive and forgot about them. :(
:(
“Anyone want a first edition dark charizard holographic?”
raises hand quietly
Stolen comment and you like it your self
Cringe
Thought he was going to say "Mistys rack" hahaha
How much for the dark Dragonair? I still have my of decks and play with my son. Only have one in Japanese so having one in English would be great. Lmk
When u could literally buy a house with these cards
Jacob Bare lol in California you can’t even buy a house with $300,000
Buy a house in Detroit?
Or just built your own house with these cards?
When you grow up you'll learn a lot more about how money works.
For 50k? Nah kid. Maybe under heavy foreclosure.
I’ll never forget when Pokémon first came out my dad bought me 2 sealed first edition base set booster boxes and I took them into my street and let all my friends in the street open them and keep some, if only I knew they would sell for over 20k+ each now...
60k
potent fml 😢😢😢
In reference to the, Cool Porygon', card:
I
This card was released as a promotional card in Japan as part of a Nintendo 64 ad campaign in December 1997, alongside Hungry Snorlax. The English version was released as a Wizards Black Star Promo as part of a Nintendo 64 bundle package with Pokémon Stadium. Later Japanese versions were reprinted as one of a selection of cards included in the Pokémon Song Best Collection CD, released on January 1, 1999. Later English versions were available through the Pokémon League in 2000.
Ames was a dependent store like a kohls or a really small walmart. Closed years ago in pa
That's a next destinies Zapdos, which means this person sold the locker after they knew how much all these sealed boxes were worth...
locker sold for $200; the person who bought it; did some research from collectors on pricing; i then confirmed prices and bought it all
Leonhart I meant the original locker owner, they had to go into the locker to put a Zapdos there. Why didn't they take all their valuable cards out instead of letting it go for $200?
Coby Abilock the locker got auctioned off for 200 dollars, the original owner could have owed way more on it, or something happened to them.
Coby Abilock every month that a locker isn’t paid it accrues monthly fees and late fees along with other fees. After just a couple years you could be looking a decent chunk of change to get your locker back. I believe the owner is not allowed to go into the locker after it’s gone a certain amount of time unpaid.
Fish Keeperist if he couldn't access the locker, how did he put a Zapdos in there?
Who ever thinks he really bought this for 50k is really delusional. The seller probably got two thousand max....
True, evidence that he actually bought this and didn't find in a storage unit at 4:15
Richard Santova he didn’t find it, he bought it from the guy that found it.
I love that zoomed out look it makes the room look alot brighter and crisp to me
Nice guy, humble and open.
I'm going to hop in here and say that when Pokemon first came out, my K-Mart had the 1st edition Base packs @ .80cents. Wish my friend and I knew the future, lol.
I had that Thunderstorm box. I built my first deck with that and played it against my brother's leaf deck he built. Good memories 👍
*Nobody articulates better than Leonhart, NOBODY!*
15:19 That's the energy symbol misprint.
This storage hauls content should be worth maybe 2-2.5x more today than the 50k you spent. Great investment
Very curious as to where the seller found that storage unit. I grew up in southwestern Pennsylvania and when I was in elementary school Ames came in and took over all of the Hills and Montgomery Ward stores in that area so it was basically a northeastern Walmart before we had Walmart’s.
“I bought it” I wanna be on leonhart level of buying Pokémon cards
i will at some point hopefully lol buying Pokemon cards as i'm a collector myself would love some of the older ones i'm making a social networking site for the e-cigarette community MyZoid Vapour can be found on google search but it is on hold for now as life has taken hold lol but its just on hiatus for now
Sucks someone lost everything in their storage unit.
Got to pay that bill or you get screwed
Cool porygon is from the Pokemon Stadium N64 package. I have one too :) good times
