This song is about a Loyalist Paramilitary bombing in central Dublin in the 1970's , one of which went off beside a music shop that Bono regularly frequented. One of his friends was caught up in it. It's widely suspected that British state security services aided with the bombing and the victim's families have been denied transparency ever since.
This is in 2015, the band members are around 55-56 years old. Still bringing great music and the best live performances in the business. Another ground breaking visual set up, sure to be copied like most of their stuff in the past. This album was totally shit on because Apple put it on people’s devices for free. But it is a great one. This song, Sleep Like A Baby Tonight, the Troubles, Every Breaking Wave, Volcano, Iris… good stuff. Great reaction.
Loving your U2 reviews and you’re doing U2 live, U2 have to be done live , possibly the greatest live band of all time Raised by wolves was a song about some bombings that killed innocent people in Ireland Have you reacted to U2 Bad at Live Aid. It was a big moment for the band, propelled them to superstardom.
Been to a lot of U2 concerts over the years as now 50 ,with Dublin , Slane and Belfast as the venues ... can't beat U2 at home concerts as it's a lifetime experience and give their all .... Was at this in Belfast and my first indoor U2 concert as mainly all outdoor .... ZOO TV Tour for me was the best when in the RDS in Dublin 1993 it had everything .. Slane was amazing too, POP MART in 1997 was a great concert at the old Landsdowne Road in Dublin , and this tour in this video for me was a great one as close and with a smaller ground it was special as Belfast was a smaller venue .... just wish people would put the phones in their pockets and remember concerts in their heads , going to be up on youtube anyway now a days ....
Thanks for your choice, you're almost the only ones. Great song from a unique concert. The rocking Cedarwood Road and the ballad Song For Someone from the same underrated album and the same concert are further highlights. There is also a fantastic, powerful live performance with Patti Smith and her People Have The Power (goosebumps in the entire audience), as this U2 concert is dedicated to the 89 victims of the Paris bombing on November 13th 2015 at the Eagles Of Death Metal concert in the Bataclan Hall (the names of the 130 dead from all terrorist attacks appear during the U2 song City Of Blinded Light, which you heard about a month ago; this live version ends with the touching words "ne me quitte ....", listenable and above all worth seeing; Paris December 7th 2015).
Bonjours a vous deux . J'habite en France j'adore vos videos. C'est le live joué a Paris 3 semaines apres les attentats j"y etait j'en es pleuré quel concert. Merci pour ce moment. 🙏
Recommendation- U2 Please live at the mtv awards. One of their best live performances. The rehearsal video of this performance is really cool as well- how effortlessly bono rehearses while smoking a cigarette.
U2 Slane Castle “One” performance and the Slane Castle “All I Want Is You/Where the Streets Have No Name” back to back performance would be great for you guys to do. Thank you both for amazing reactions.
You should react to the U2 Superbowl Halftime 2002, MLK & Where the streets have no name, five months after 9/11, so emotional, probably the best Superbowl Halftime ever
Saw them at Wembley 87… got too stoned so very bad(me) not them Saw them at Twickenham 2005…. absolutely unreal was not stoned ❤don’t do drugs kids… unless they’re the good ones🎉
