Nice effort. It really showcases the possibilites of AI in the hands of an artist. The humans are hopelessly creepy, but I trust that eventually AI rendering of humans will be improved. Good job.

Now the Captain, with his feeling of it being a good thing to go home and rest, arrives on Earth, goes home and goes to bed. He never wakes up, as the "hive" microorganisms take over his body, sprouts, and a new hive is now there, ready to spread... I normally do not like tragic endings but I could not help it this time :)
That's definitely a cruel ending even by my standards :) And if the captain feeling homesick wasn't even his own though but planted by the hive? Or maybe he was under the full control of the hive when talking to the viewer already? Reaches earth cherished as a hero sole survivor. Then at night sprouts himself then just throws himself into some water supply.
I like tragic endings but I think the best endings are bittersweet, not just black or white.

I hate to be too critical, so I will start with the positives: 1) I have no idea how to create an AI-assisted film, so your abilities are far-beyond mine in that regard. 2). The alien landscapes and life-forms are truly unique and have an eerie-but-disturbing beauty. So KUDOS there! 3) If you wanted to give the larger alien life forms a frightening, menacing, and at-times almost demonic feel (despite their eerie beauty), you did a great job! So, more KUDOS! NOW for the negatives: 1) Perhaps it's a software issue, but most of the faces of the humans just aren't realistic. This flaw is especially true of the eyes. The human eyes in the same face are often not the same size, and still worse appear to be amorphous or melting. You breached the uncanny valley in spades with the humans' faces. Of course, if you meant to do that with the eyes and faces to emphasize the demonic mutations in the humans then you did a good job. 2) My criticism of the overall story is that it seems like you actually let the AI write the script to a large degree - this makes the story in many places disjointed and unclear. FINALLY, If you meant to portray all the humans except the Narrator as having embarked on a wonderful journey with the aliens, the ending totally belies that. HOWEVER, if you meant to show in the final scenes that all the humans except the Narrator were deceived into journeying to a hellscape with demonic aliens, mission accomplished. ALSO, if this film is an allegory about what AI may do to humanity - promise paradise while delivering a dystopic hell - well done!
Hi, Thanks for the feedback, its useful especially given both sides. I did write the script fully, AI only helped with dialogue but definitely the script was a bit ambitious for the time I was able to invest into making the film, Ideally should have been 15 minutes long I think because a lot of the nuances can get missed when only briefly mentioned. But this is also a problem due to technological limitations, conveying subtlety currently is extremely limited. The humans definitely look uncanny and we are far from a proper photorealistic look and movement, it's usually a tradeoff between the two.

Yes I did intend for the crew to be allured by the promise of grandeur and deceived to become cannon fodder. This is a take on space odessey. Embracing the unknown and trading it for the familiar and wanting to reach higher highs is nowadays promoted as a 100% positive thing, I felt it could use a counterargument. AI definitely fits into this category but I was thinking in more broader terms.
The whole idea of the movie was really good and the visual was really interesting, job well done, but have to agree the essence of the humans have not been captured, they all look blank, with no true emotions or even a soul, so that needs to be worked on. Other than that having AIs cutting down the work load is truly wonderful but I 'm not comfortable with them becoming more than a human or animal it is very scary cause life on earth will not be a safe place

If they haven’t already preoccupied themselves with immensely imminent designs that pluck at their proverbial heartstrings…from undoubtedly somewheres else that mere humans may not want to find.
The story is still human-made :) but the visuals are definitely the spawn of AI creativity. We are very far from the time AI will make anything that's not derivative though without human input.
You were elated when you wrote this, and as I write so am I. I remember when I started dancing with sweet Mary Jane, back when I could still get super duper high, going outside the world appeared quite like the film here co-created by that nifty little AI. Guess who hasn't seen sweet Mary in a week and just found her hiding in a closet with some other naughty things... Guess I'll just have to marathon a bunch of these crazy amazing AI movies.
I've always found it curious that AI creates animation that moves like we dream. Perhaps that is evidence of a conscience mind. Perhaps their perception is in a dream state, yet to wake up.

@@MahajanCreationOfficial if you are directing the video its not 100% AI. Automatically generated ai content likely cannot be monetized. But monetization has many rules and everything is written down in the official youtube guidelines. You should follow those not youtube gurus :)

This is an accomplished proof of concept, although stylistically, it relies heavily on the work of others. It does offer some very interesting possibilities though. The blurring effect could be used to represent time or dimension dilation, just as the mutating and morphing could be used to depict more interesting physical manifestations. Perhaps this will help you to develop your own distinctive style.

Cheers for the detailed feedback! The theme was kind of intentionally an 70s-80s throwback, specifically to space odyssey. I wanted to explore some alternative answers to the questions posed in that movie. The effect were very experimental and accidental though as you noticed :) Definitely something I will be reusing in the future just more intentionally!
