The Sportquest Holidays 2022 Halibut Competition was run over two days at the beautiful destinations of Å on the Lofoten islands in Norway, and it saw nine teams of four anglers battling it out for over £5,000 in prizes. With a £4,000 prize up for grabs for the winning team who caught the longest accumulative length of Halibut and a £1,000 prize for the angler who caught the longest Halibut.

What sort of size leads,hook lengths and hooks do you use for halibut please
Hi Adam, we're normally using 80lb braid and a 150lb mono leader. Hook wise it's a size 12/0 Tuna Circle Hook and the leads vary, but as a guide around 400grams. Hope that helps. 🎣
