Forced into foster care at age 7 because of a dysfunctional family, Tyrone Flowers lived out a next decade of hell. His homes over the next 10 years: three different foster homes, residential treatment facilities, eight different group homes, and juvenile reformatory school.
At 17 he was dealt an even more cruel blow, leaving him handicapped and asking "why me?"
Yet Tyrone's story did not end there. His self-pity turned into something else that was able to change those first 17 years into good, giving him purpose in life, and allowing him to impact the lives of others. He saw disaster changed into triumph, further reinforcing his faith and hope, and inspiring others in the process.

Tyrone, I am so proud of you. You have taken tragedy and allowed God to turn it into His triumph - and yours. You sharing your story is so impactful to those you serve and everyone who has viewed this. I’ll never forget your comment about God sometimes disabling us. God has disabled me physically, giving me a rare and in curable, and untreatable disease. It has made me so appreciate days where I am well. But, in the midst of it, I realized it when I am weak He indeed is strong. There is always, always purpose in pain.
I’m grateful for your story and I’m grateful or the reminder that mine is not yet over, either. May God bless you every endeavor.

LOVE that smile at the end...what an incredible story. Oh my heart broke for him when I read his bio, but watching the video made me praise the God of the universe for loving the broken, like Tyrone + me. We all have a divine calling from Him Above!

We've all been through what we've been through for a PURPOSE. Don't waste what you've gone through, let God reach others through you and what He's done in you! (preaching to myself as well!)
