A beautiful painting. I’m going to try it myself . I’m not a painter (except acrylic pouring) but you make it seem like I can do it. Yes! Do not pass up another opportunity to go to a cenote. I loved it. The water was so clean and refreshing. Cold but in a refreshing way. This painting takes me back to paradise even though I had to cancel my trip this year. It makes me smile.

Absolutely inlove, as I always seem to be! The make up brushes were a fantastic idea!! I would have never thought of that! Needless to say I have a bunch I just added to my paint brush collection! I've only tried a few out for today but I was able to get some awesome soft blends and patterns. So smart!!! I definately want to try this painting in the morning. Thank you always for your tutorials, always so colorful and happy and make me feel good ♥️

Hi Joni,
a long comment this time around. I thought it would be nice to share this wee story with everyone. We have caves similar in beautiful Sumerset in England. The ones I really like are the cheddar gorge and Wookey Hole which is famous for lots of things, but the legend of the Witch is one of the most popular stories. It all started about a 1000 years ago when a woman living in the caves was thought to be a witch 🧙♀️ by the local villagers. It’s also where cheddar cheese is made and it’s very close to Glastonbury. In Scotland The historic King’s Cave on the island of Arran is the supposed locations in which Robert the Bruce is said to have had his famed encounter with a spider 🕷 eek! The cave contains Christian and pre-Christian Celtic carvings. My most favourite place by far, is definitely the fairy dells or fairy pools on the island of Skye land of the fairies 🧚♀️ it’s very magical and your fantasy paintings often capture it’s essence. The pools It’s said, if you wash your face in them it will allow you to keep your youthful bloom and beauty in body and in soul. I’m not sure it worked for me? But I’m still hoping 😂 I did ask permission to take home a stone from one of the pools. Now, here’s the story part Joni. First you have to ask the fairies 🧚♀️ and my daughter just rolled her eyes! 🤣🤣 here’s the story part Joni, I know, but it’s all part of the fantasy right. My daughter thought that on the drive home I wasn’t paying any mind to what she was up to and she unceremoniously threw my wee stone out the window ( she’s not a believer in fairies 🧚♀️ yet! Well it was kind of turning green and a bit stinky that day was hot 🥵 for Scotland? We don’t usually have hot here!😂🤣😂 Skye's Fairy Pools are a series of waterfalls with a bunch of rugged rock pools separating them. But they're fabulously beautiful and surrounded by some of Scotlands best mountains the Cuillins. The water at the Fairy Pools is some of the clearest I've ever seen or drank from. Just a wee story to share about your beautiful fantasy paintings and fairies that you paint and teach us how to attempt and to try out for ourselves thank you. 😊 x

Wow 😮 Joni my makeup brushes turned up yesterday from Amazon, they are soft and blend like nothing I’ve ever tried before. Thank you for the tip. Also they were not expensive here in the UK.

❤ hey Johnny this is Missy from Michigan redo that whole painting on a bigger canvas and put the weeping willow tree in the back of it and incorporate crystals using pinks and violets and blues and put that little tree in front of the week that would make an interesting❤❤❤❤❤❤

Oh, I didn´t even realize that you were left handed until you pointed it out now! lol my grandma is left handed, but she was forced to use her right hand in school, so she can use both now for just about anything :)
l just love watching how your paintings emerge, to me (I don´t mean to offend you in any way) it always looks weird with, what it looks like to me, random strokes all over, but the further you come into the painting, everything just klicks and makes sense :D 💜 and the strokes that confuses me at the beginning, where I see chaos, it just falls into place and make sense!
I started to wonder if that´s the reason I´ve been struggling with this type of art, my Autistic brain does not like random, chaos or loose painting, but I think that is something I need to learn to deal with if I want to be able to paint in this style....not overthink every stroke and be ok with that it can look like chaos and random in the beginning :) and I guess that I am a bit scared of messing a painting up before I really give it a chans, therefor I haven´t been able to push through that messy stage threshold....I NEED to loosen up and let it go!
Yeah, I know it´s just paint, you can change a painting how many times you want or need....gosh...I´m a scared control freak....!....wow....and I just figured that out now!....dang, you should be a painting therapist! lol

Started to work on this and immediately the black canvas decided to go against me!!! Is there anything I can substitute for yellow ochre? I don't have it and I don't want to stop.
Holy Wishing Hole!! I just managed to mix sap green!! :O
I wanted to try to mix yellow ochre but I managed to get sap green instead!! I mixed yellow orange with permanent orange, Lime yellow and black!! Voila! Sap green! Hmm adding a little bit of red gave me the shade you're using on the rocks up there! I hope pure ochre isn't used anywhere or I'm in big trouble!! ^^
