Wait… what does the Fraud Squad do?
When dealing with fraudsters, by the time it is reported to law enforcement, it can often be too late. Your bank or credit union, retail business and your friends and family play an important ‘heroic’ role in catching fraud. The goal in collaborating is to communicate prevention measures clearly and consistently.
Additionally, we want to take any shame and embarrassment out of it. It impacts everyone, of all ages. We see the devastating effects fraud has, firsthand, so it's important to make this conversational and engaging. The more information that can be shared, the more likely prevention of future losses can be stopped.
We believe this is only the beginning of partnering to help our community avoid fraud and scams.
