Western - TRIBUTE

Wideoesej/Tribute dla europejskich westernów pod tytułem "Europejska demitologizacja klasycznego westernu (lata 60. i 70.) stanowi aneks pracy licencjackiej z kierunku "Wiedzy o Filmie i Kulturze Audiowizualnej" na Uniwersytecie Gdańskim, pod tym samym tytułem. Przedstawia różnice estetyczne pomiędzy amerykańskim westernem, a jego europejskim odmianami. Jest podzielony na trzy rozdziały, analogicznie względem pracy licencjackiej.
1. Western Klasyczny.
(Amerykańskie, klasyczne westerny pełniące kult białych kolonizatorów i triumfu cywilizacji nad dziką naturą, kręcone głównie w latach 1903, do okolic 1960 roku)
2. Eastern
(Wschodnioeuropejskie westerny, będące najczęściej koprodukcjami pomiędzy Niemcami, Jugosławią, Czechami. Przedstawiają odmienny w stosunku klasycznego westernu wizerunek białych, powierzając tym samym rolę protagonistów Indianom. Do najważniejszych dzieł tej odmiany należy seria o Winnetou i Indianerfilm. Oprócz tego pokazuję Lemoniadowego Joe, czyli czeską parodię klasycznego westernu, krytykującą kapitalizm. Filmy te kręcony były na początku lat 60.)
3. Spaghetti Western
(Włoska odmiana westernów mająca swoje złote lata w okresie od 1964 do 1977 roku. Cechowały się demitologizacją wartości propagowanych przez klasyczny western. Ich świat był brutalniejszy, mocniejszy i bardziej zdeprawowany. Postać dobrego szeryfa zastąpił tu łowca nagród kierujący się pieniądzem częściej niż kodeksem moralnym. Konstrukt rozdziału o Spaghetti Westernach tworzy mashup filmów Sergio Leone, Django movies i Zapata westernów opowiadających o meksykańskiej rewolucji)
Video essay/tribute for european westerns entitled "European demythologization of classic western (60's and 70's), being part of Bachelor thesis in the field of Film studies in University of Gdansk entitled the same.. This tribute shows esthetic differences beetween american western, and its european modifications. It's divided into three chapters just like Bachelor thesis.
1. Classic Western
(American, classic western praising white colonizers and cult of civilization over wild nature. These movies were shot mostly beetween 1903 and 1960)
2. Eastern
(Eastern-european westerns being mostly co-productions of Germany, Yugoslavia and Czech Republic. Easterns show different picture of white colonizers, entrust the main role to Indians. The most important Easterns are movies about Winnetou, and Indianerfilm. Besides that my tribute show Lemonade Joe - Czech, classic western parody, criticizing capitalism. Easterns were made in early 60's.)
3. Spaghetti Westerns
(Italian type of western, that were made beetween 1964, and 1977. These movies demythologized values propagated by classic western. Spaghetti western's world was more brutal, stronger, and more depraved. The "Good sheriff" figure was replaced with Bounty hunter guided more by money, than by moral code. The main construct of Spaghetti Western part is made by Sergio Leone movies, Django movies, and Zapata Westerns, that are about mexican revolution in 1914)
