Have been out of it for about 30yrs and looking to get back to it. Looking at a used 955hp that was prepped by other . What do you think it's worth in general echo mod and a little power. I have the same oscilloscope although the new model with the Super Phosphorous display looks nearly as good as CRT oscilloscope..I'm sure you have seen the Siglent SPO scope ..maybe ask Santa for one 🤶 🧑🎄 😊

Love my Stryker 955 hpc.. never had a bad audio report, mine is fully modded and kicks 80 watts into the meter.. worked the world on it from east to west, i have a Sadelta echo master plus classic i use on it and everyone says the modulation is loud and proud.
I learned VHF/UHF/Satellite field Ops as an active “combat communications specialist” in Afghanistan. I carried and operated a AN/PRC 117 radio on a frame pack and my M4a1 rifle in my hands. All types of training came with my “MOS” which stands for military occupational speciality, another term is “MOS 25C.” 25C has a wide variety of non combat duties with a focus on keeping radio and other communication equipment up to date and working properly. Years after that I learned a lot from a tech/licensed ham named Joe Williams in Fort washington, MD who previously retired from the FCC. When Joe passed away, I learned some things from a tech named “Stickman” in Waldorf,MD during the early 2000’s as well. Other than that the rest that has been learned and absorbed is from personal studies and hands on experience.

Hooked up my cobra into a v6 equalizer with a MXL 990 mic and I don’t get any audio, the set up works with a cheap condenser mic but nothing with the MXL990
@@tommiller9230 All true condenser mics need a power source, this also helps with the quality of audio, you can purchase a stand alone power supply for the 990 without the use of an extra mixer. Honestly, I don’t recommend any mics that are cheaper than the MXL990, anything under that model would just lack quality control. 73👋🏻

The MXL 990 requires a 48 volt phantom power supply for operation, it will not work without a power supply sir.
