Tip to share: These are the most common materials in the game that you must keep, must *hoard*, at all times. Having a big enough Account Vault will absolutely help you in this regard. I will also explain why they're needed and where you can find them. I'll add each category with each reply, too. 1. Minerals and Fabrics . Raw Paving Stone . Worn Leather . Cloth Scrap . Weathered Bone Fragment . Raw Hardener . Rusty Iron Scrap Every MMO has that cheap ass, little to no value class of materials that drop everywhere in every dungeon. Grab them anyway. They are used to for multiple things, namely quests and now Epic Weapon Crating. What's even more important is that some quests require you to Craft them into their strongest version (i.e. Superior Hardener) via NPCs like Roger Levin and Melvin Richter. As a new player, chances are you're not just gonna buy these materials in the AH all the damn time, so it's a good long-term investment to collect them whenever you see them. Sooner or later, you'll be so stacked in these mats that you may just pick up their drops out of habit.
2. Gems . Diamond . Blood Stone . Obsidian . Aquamarine . Onyx These are a tier up from minerals and fabrics, and drop less in every dungeon. Quests will sometimes require these as well. These can also be used for Epic Weapon Crafting, specifically to imbue the weapon with an inflicted element and/or a proc'd AOE damage ability. To do this, you go to Roger and Melvin again to Craft elemental "stones" out of them. Beyond that, gems have rather obscure uses, but it's good to hoard them when you really need them.
3. Seals . Seal of Empress Skardi/Emperor Helm Hoard them both. These are (currently) required to advance to 2nd Awakening via quests, and they can take a hefty amount depending on how sustained you are as a new player. 4. Area Materials . Fused Cube . Magtonium . Data Chip You find them in caches from Time Gate, Power Station, and Castle of the Dead dungeons respectively. As a new player, it's not that big a priority to hoard them. BUT, they still grant you big gains. Fused Cubes aren't as important as the other area mats, but they can (currently) be used to buy some monster Cards. What cards you'd want to buy depends on your class and what you need to enchant gear with, but the Kane card comes VERY handy with a 9% crit chance at max level. You can also buy the card outright in Auction Hall, but it's there if you've got enough cubes. Magtonium and Data Chips, on the other hand, are necessary to enter Anton and Luke Raids respectively. You won't need them yet, but you should absolutely keep them. They can also be sold for a decent penny depending on the AH's economy at the time. Magtonium can easily be found in Grandine (especially when you're gold farming) while Data Chips can be found a little bit faster in Metal Brakium.
5. Low/High-Grade Elemental Crystals Often obtained by disassembling equipment Rare or higher. Hoard em when you see em. They are used to Enchant cards into equipment or turn them into beads. For a new player, you'll need 250 High-Grade crystals to use the (Untradable) Liberation Recipe and convert a Requiem weapon to a Liberation weapon. 6. Stones . Chaos Stone Debris . Nihilistic Demon Stone Debris Both can be converted to whole Stones via Sharan. I don't remember what Chaos Stones do anymore, but I included them anyway. Aegis already explained why you need Nihilistic Demon Stones and how, but you need them for Quests that unlock the Sub-Equip, Magic Stone, and Earring slots.
7. Carbonic Crystals These drop from dungeon bosses past lvl50 dungeons and are only used for Epic Weapon Crafting, or rather, weapon processing. You process at least seven times a week, so seven crystals are needed. Installing an inflicted element to the weapon costs 50 Crystals, and the AOE proc skill costs 100. If you're short on Crystals for any reason, find a low-level dungeon that's pretty short in length and run it like crazy. I often use Forbidden Shrine, but I also run Twin Golem's Betrayal as it's even shorter and the boss can be killed easily with full-on Legendary gear. Honestly, I didn't need to include this. They're not even account bound. A new player will gain at least 100 of these by the end of scenario and endgame status players probably already have a BiS weapon anyway. So this mostly for those who need them, especially for characters who are high-leveled past the update that included Carbonic Crystals.
Just write out the whole fucking novel on how to play the game, and post it. You need a to attend a college course to even begin to understand this game.
Thank you so much for this, I just joined the game due to spectre and this is a godsend! Any chance for an updated or expanded 2021 version? Would love it so much
Halfway through the video my brain exploded ._. So much input at a newbie tip video? Im already afraid to boot up the game once the download is finished xD
I don't know, Rick... TRift is unusually kind to me with the multiple CIV & t90 armor drops I tend to see in there. (Hell, I finished my 7 sins on Seraph thanks to it.) It also lets me farm a little extra coin on the side (around 1.2m) if I'm feeling frisky enough to burn an entire FP bar inside in the span of 20-30 minutes, and that's without pigging a Metro Boss Card, rare as it is. Don't forget mileage too. I'd see it more like, "If you want to see more potential returns for your DI spending, do Slayer Hells. If you want to see potentially more raw shines that could mean usable gear along with the chance to make some extra coin, go TRift."
Of course, any tips I missed, please add them into the comments for future reference. I've got a few that didn't make the cut: - Make sure to look at all the options in the settings of the game. Some useful ones include CD timers, auto skipping cutscenes and getting rid of dead mob sprites. - Right clicking the quest dialogue box can be used to instantly jump to the end.

Is there any way to turn off some of visual clutter on the screen? All those flashes and explosions are nice, but damage numbers cover half of my screen.
Yes. In the options, there are opacity sliders to turn down/off yours and your party's skills being displayed on screen. As for damage, hit the Damage Font book in your inventory, you'll see a similar opacity slider in there. Set to 0 to turn off the numbers popping up.
WHAT IS A PROFESSIONAL DISASSEMBLER?? i did as much of the profession quest that i could and dont know where to find the "professional disassembler". just the standard one outside of sky tower
Profession disassembler is given to you at level 20 when you choose your profession. If you choose anything but "Disassembler" as your profession, you will get a "profession disassembler" in your inventory use tab. You can then use it to disassemble items like the standard one, except the items you get are related to your profession. Only use purple rare gear to do this.
So tip 22 at 15:40, since you said that only one element is counted at a time, and the game will choose the one that's dealing the most damage, wouldn't that mean that it's best to focus on one element exclusively?
I see why you'd say that, and it's technically true, most "Nuetral element" dps characters at the end game stack just one element exclusively, but there are still reasons why you'd want to inflict more than one element. 1) This is becoming less common in DFO nowadays, but some bosses have more resistances against a certain element over another. So, "Dealing the most damage" isn't just about how strong your own elemental damage is, it's the whole picture: Your buffs, debuffs, and everyone's stats. 2) Focusing on one element exclusively makes you less versatile in party compositions. Yes, technically you can deal optimal damage I'm not denying that, but really, having the option to use multiple elements at a whim to me is worth the very slight tradeoff in damage. Think, Rosen Transcendent phase and imperial arena.
Is OT different now? Is it required anymore? I quit years ago because I hated doing OT, which was the only end game content at the time. OT just was not fun, I hated the gimmicks and it killed the game for me.
interesting game... question can I play the game w/out following meta builds? I want to have have and role play... I know it's going to be really weak or even trash but as long as content is still doable(expecting a couple of mins extra or so clear time) then it's fine... can gear carry your character or do you need to search build guides in order to enjoy this game?
Nah. If you check out my latest video on gear expectations where I talk about swap sets there is some updated information. Basically you can make an even better setup that doesn't include the halidom top. You're fine
Who said that?Cursed gear is something you have no control over, but you can't put the gear on until you either purify or extinguish the curse. If you purify, you replace reinforcement with amplification (Which is BIS but massively expensive.). If you extinguish, it's just normal gear. It's a warning to not get involved into something if you don't know what you're getting into, Which has nothing to do with getting good end game gear. Check out these guides to get familiar with the end-game. ruclips.net/p/PLnGW36i_cRBsjyBAhWUl9ppgpAbOzm7cV
Hey I may be wrong but I don't think you have to get cera just to get rid of those items. You can still get rid of them you just can't equip / use them unless you go through the steps he talked about.
If you're interested with at least an aspect of the game such as visuals, gameplay, waifus etc. it's worth trying imo since it's a free game. I like the retro visuals and animations of it so I decided to give it a go. You are the best judge of it when it comes to YOUR enjoyment.
You just convinced me NOT to install this game. I was looking for nice simple action mmo. This game looks like android games where 95% of the content is useless and annyoing. Why do they so much complicate something so simple like action mmo? The answer is - to hide that it is not skill base game but based on microtransactions, VIP system and grind. No thank you.
While it looks fun (and is actually fun to play most of the subclasses) it does have too way many boring, unnecessary content that causes headache and makes the experience feel not rewarding (same can be said for Maplestory, which is a mmorpg from DFO's previous publisher in North America). But it's a f2p mmo that doesn't use subscription style for p2p contents, so... having high expectations would be kind of pushing it. It's still reasonably fun for what it is.
Played this game for a year already and I still have no clue what I’m doing.

I quit years ago because I hated doing OT, which was the only end game content at the time. OT just was not fun, I hated the gimmicks and it killed the game for me.
Which class are you playing at 4:50?
Thats Monk. A male priest subclass
//setitem does not work anymore or is it out of quests? its working as i see but it dosent gather all the items at the end :/
Still works fine. Can only use it once per dungeon
Hola tengo una pregunta en el minuto 4:14 puedes poner la cantidad que deseas. Como lo haces ayuda
is there an auto loot? if there is, how to set it? Thanks
interesting game... question can I play the game w/out following meta builds? I want to have have and role play... I know it's going to be really weak or even trash but as long as content is still doable(expecting a couple of mins extra or so clear time) then it's fine... can gear carry your character or do you need to search build guides in order to enjoy this game?
This game makes more money than Fortnite...
i am a old returnee what is temporal rifts and stuf
What outfit/class at 1:39?
So what is the point of Temporal Rift?
Temporal rift is dated content, not worth running anymore. Only kinda worth running if you have di and want to farm epic souls only.
@@TheVladkovich And they never thought of removing it?
stil havent understood what he meant now exactly with the last tip... is it not to amplify? or just remove the curse in every case?
i just dissembling X...X the lv 55 top today .... should i star a new character again ?
Nah. If you check out my latest video on gear expectations where I talk about swap sets there is some updated information. Basically you can make an even better setup that doesn't include the halidom top. You're fine
good to hear that thank ^^
Hey is there a fox girl class
hi and excuse me bro but how can I get o where a unique weapon
wait so the only realistic way to get good end game gear is to spend real
money to purify gear?
Who said that?Cursed gear is something you have no control over, but you can't put the gear on until you either purify or extinguish the curse. If you purify, you replace reinforcement with amplification (Which is BIS but massively expensive.). If you extinguish, it's just normal gear. It's a warning to not get involved into something if you don't know what you're getting into, Which has nothing to do with getting good end game gear. Check out these guides to get familiar with the end-game. ruclips.net/p/PLnGW36i_cRBsjyBAhWUl9ppgpAbOzm7cV
im so new to the game i dont understand any tips :'(
Wait, how much is 190 cera exactly? Not really looking forward to paying irl money to get rid of my in-game gear
Hey I may be wrong but I don't think you have to get cera just to get rid of those items. You can still get rid of them you just can't equip / use them unless you go through the steps he talked about.
Andrew Hogle i can’t, that gear I can’t get rid of; i get a message every time saying that I can’t get rid of it.
sometimes theres event that give you the extinguisher. 190cera is like 2 bucks
You can buy it in the auction hall.
you can buy the extinguisher with gold from the Auction Hall, it's a bit expensive but you will want to extiguish only epics that are good anyways :)
My brain hurts.
please link me to a moneymaking video … well for endgame obviously
or if you don't please make one that's the latest
and i thought there was alot to learn about maplestory when i started...
2020 still worth playing?
If you're interested with at least an aspect of the game such as visuals, gameplay, waifus etc. it's worth trying imo since it's a free game.
I like the retro visuals and animations of it so I decided to give it a go. You are the best judge of it when it comes to YOUR enjoyment.

Can you make real money by playing? 🤔
First
so is it p2w..?
can i earn a real money if i play Dungeon Fighter?how?
1. Dont get too deep
*Beginner my ass*
Too much. Way too much
god this game looks cancerous
This game looks lame lol
