The best thing is that it doesn't matter to them whether you are old or young, slim or fat, beautiful or not so good looking, rich or poor, handicapped or not; they love you inspite of all your shortcomings.
For 70 of my 72 years I've had a cat then last year my 21 yr. Sugar Kitty passed on and I won't be around another 20 yrs. to dedicate to another cat. There's a hole in my soul.
I am 73 years old. If I were to lose one of my kitties I would go to a shelter and find a senior kitty that needs a home. There’s many senior kitties in shelters that would love to keep you company for whatever time you and they have left.💘❤️💕
it's true, a few months ago an elder cat came to our garden and decided she wants to move here 😂she's very sweet and calm, we loved her in the end and take very good care of her. She's not energetic or very much into cuddles but I like that she likes it here and is taken care of

People reminded me I could adopt an elderly cat and I was checking shelters then I got my electric bill it doubled from last year and so did my water and sewer bill, car insurance went up too but only 20% but gas is still twice what it was. I can't afford cat food and kitty litter any more. Groceries are sky high eggs went from 1.99 two years ago to 4.69 a dozen. Things are crazy, I've started skipping breakfast, saving a little there, I used to have a lunch meat sandwich for lunch but now it's peanut butter. I'm so mad at the Left and their war against fossil fuels, it's hurting all of us, I could just spit. Let's go Brandon.
Get a senior who needs a home from the rescue then they're over run with really good cats and give up the car lessers who own cars do only pollute the earth anyway so therefore always in the wrong when accidents happen unless ur dead already
People that think cats prefer to be alone/independent simply do not understand how loving cats truly are. ❤️
If animals can learn to love unconditionally, maybe humans can too. 🐱
What is so cool is to see men being loved on by their cats! There is such a stereotype of a "crazy cat lady" but kitties love their male parents just as much! I really admire a man who can accept such affection from a cat and value it like these guys do. They must know that felines are much more discerning on who they give their heart to!
I don’t know about that stereotype you mentioned but my brother and some of male friends I know are really obsessed with cats even more than most girls I know

I had a hysterectomy. Mittie stayed by me thru all of it.
Then Mittie got a UTI. I took that cone off, layed him on my lap. He was so thrilled to have that damn cone off. You could see the love we shared. Still, to this day.

They lady who continued to cook with a cat on her back is the epitome of cat parenting. She was able to continue doing her thing without disturbing kitty's chosen spot. Meanwhile, I've waited way longer to use the bathroom than any human should just so as not to disturb a kitty at rest. Lol! 😂🤣😻

My cat absolutely adored me. She would do head-butted, rubbing against me, if I laid on the sofa she had to lay on the back above me. If I got up to get a drink in the kitchen she just had to follow me.

Until 2 yrs ago never had an indoor cat. Always a dog person. I have a chubby 12 yo pug girl and 2 three yo cats. One was a barn cat baby from my neighbor's sister. She hid for a couple of months but gradually came out and about. She loves petting but goes crazy if you try to pick her up. She always tries to climb on my back while I am cooking. The other came as a stray. A gorgeous calico. She prefers to be outside but in last few months she comes in at night to sleep with me. She always comes to hug me several times at night. So cute she puts her little paw around me and it is so sweet. She will let you pick her up but when she wants out she is ready to go. She stays in our yard, does not roam. Our other cat will go next door and loves to climb trees. They hate each other but both like the dog. After 2 years they still hiss and stare.

Unlike dogs(nothing against them or anything) cats make you work real hard for there affections and when it finally happen it is the greatest reward your get! You would both feel genuine love they keep mentioning in the bible or sunday school there's nothing greater than that! It such a hard feeling to get to but also the most easiest to fall from but staying the middle of it all even for a second it's the greatest reward one could ever want!

My 12 year old companion, Chester, helped me diagnose a lump I found in my right breast. He nuzzled my right arm and armpit every time I laid down, and trilled at me constantly. He talked so much that it was annoying. I had already just found a lump the week before but Chester let me know that it was important. 3 months later, I've had a right breast mastectomy and recovering from cancer. My cat knew something was wrong with me and he did his best to tell me. Listen to and watch your beloved cats. They know a lot.
