    I've been talking about this concept for years. I'm glad it's finally s reality.

    Don't think too fast. This does not mean that anything innovative has happened. This method is called electrosis. It separates molecules using electricity. You can do it with a AA battery, a paper clip, and a glass of water.

      U can do this with sunlight

      The thing is : Now you can use this process without using electricity, but with sunlight. This means the way Nitrogen is "extracted"is nonpolluting. Which ofcourse is good for the environment...

    Does it work with salt water? Because the world is running out of freshwater and if we use freshwater as fuel, we might really ran out of it faster.

      Of course not, this is at best a very nice and small electrolysis cell, but it would never replace oil or pose a threat to it because thermodynamically it'll always be less efficient than regular solar panels

    • @MrJerrybravo
      @MrJerrybravo 8 лет назад

      +Mau dL I thought the big picture was that it creates oxygen and uses Co2 as energy?

    • @HidrogenoyMau
      @HidrogenoyMau 8 лет назад

      MrJerrybravo Not at all, this thing absorbs energy from sunlight then passes a current thru the water to separate oxygen and hydrogen with a well known process called electrolysis, however this is thermodynamically only using the hydrogen as an energy vector, that is to say that the energy is coming from the sun, the hydrogen is just a way to store it, in other words you need more energy to separate water into hydrogen and oxygen that the energy you'll get from burning the hydrogen, even if you did it with 100% efficiency the limit is in physics, not engineering.

  • @525Lines
    @525Lines 8 лет назад

    Something that takes CO2 which we obviously have too much of and makes energy. Let's hope this gets to market quickly.

    • @525Lines
      @525Lines 8 лет назад

      The elites won't make money when the seas become so acidic the plant life dies and 75% of our oxygen source is cut off. At worst, other countries will demonstrate it's value and we'll begrudgingly take it up lears later.
