    You guys remind me of my family. We have 7 kids. One sister died at 62 but the rest of us are 70 and older and live close together. If someone needs help, everyone jumps in. We have Thanksgiving family dinner at my grandparents old home built early 1900’s. My Fraternal grandparents early 1900’s house is down the road and well taken care of. My grandfather was a blacksmith and really knew how to build. My dad was a carpenter until he retired. Growing up in a loving family goes a long way as adults. We are all well educated, financially independent have our own houses and property that is paid for. Glad to see you are all getting you own homes.

    My brother and I could not work together on anything: arguing, fighting, tattling-until mom wouldn’t listen, etc. I am so happy for you and your brothers, and your dad, too. Dad’s the reason for everyone getting along. If he has no peace, there is no peace. God bless you guys, hope the harvest has been wonderful.

    I remember doing those same jobs on a harvester for our neighbor. When I was a teenager we used to pick them and put them in bushel baskets. 100 bushel a day was good. It looked cool seeing all the bushel baskets in a row. Then put them on a wagon. Then they went to a harvester versus just the winrower. I worked for a few years on the digger. Now they have a self propelled harvester, no tractor needed.

She doesn't have to cook those big dinners in the evening anymore. Callie is really growing up so fast won't be long before she's in pre-kindergarten. She will love school 🏫. Excited about the pumpkins they all look so good. The new chickens will help with Grammys pies. Everything is looking 😁 good, take care of your back 🖐️later

    Oh my goodness Callie is sooo beautiful! She is getting cuter with every passing video!! She looks sooo sweet and like she’s a real daddy’s girl! God bless you and your entire family. I hope you are doing back strengthening exercises because they really do make a difference and the time to do them is when you aren’t in pain but they are especially important when you are. The main thing is stretching, it’s super important and moving feet while you stretch and lifting toes is very important to loosen up the hamstrings because a lot of people say that people with bad backs are a result of poor stomach muscles and while some of that may be a factor a large one is tight hamstrings and without stretching them and loosening them up before any bending it can result in multiple disc herniations. Ask me how I know…5 back surgeries and trying hard to avoid the 6th!!! 🥰❤️🙏🏻🇨🇦

    Some of those rocks are HUGE. Every time I see the potato harvester separate the rocks from the potatoes, I want to talk to a geologist to find out more about the history of geological Pennsylvania and how it created fields you could plant in that were also full of rocks. Where did they come from? Did the crust break open? Was the land under water thousands of years ago? Did it used to be mountains and over time the build-up of dirt evened the land out. That must have taken a LOT of years. Unfortunately, I don't know any geologists who specialize in Pennsylvania, but I supposed there would have to be someone on RUclips...or not.

    Is it time to get a new potato picker? How much would it cost? Your potatoes look a good size this year, last year I was amazed at just how small they were. Hopefully a bigger crop of potatoes will go a little way towards the loss of the peppers. Can you explain your crop rotations. Here in the UK we call the small first eggs pullets eggs. Sometimes I can pick up a tray cheaply at our local egg farm, I like them the whites are a small percentage of the egg.

    At what age do chickens start laying eggs? How long do they lay eggs? And what age do they become chicken tenders?

    • @lisalapoint7022
      @lisalapoint7022 10 месяцев назад +1

      Around 20 weeks old, give or take, hens will start to lay. They usually lay every day, or a little less, depending on the breed, until about 36 months. Then they slow down. Meat chickens mature in 8-12 weeks and are harvested. Layers are different breeds, and not fed to become fat meat chickens. Of course, one can harvest layers for chicken.
