Hello I either buy them or get given them Once fixed I sell them either via Hobgoblin music - an excellent music shop, or privately or occasionally on eBay. A full restoration will take around 20- 25 hours work . I do it for the love of it - I love restoring things and working with my hands , and I'm honoured that some people are interested in watching me do these restorations !
Hi Rich 🙂 I have a question for you today. After a year of regular playing, I might indulge myself and purchase a new accordion. With a budget between £1500 -2000, what make and/or model of 72-120 bass accordion would you recommend with emphasis given to quality reed voicing and mechanical action?
Hello Mark That's a good question I think the Hohner Bravo 72 bass is a good bet - I once had a similar hohner student 72bass and it had a really nice sound A weltmeister Jewel 72 would be nice but would be a bit more expensive If I had that kind of money to spend on an accordion I probably wouldn't buy a new one but look for a good condition lightly used Italian one Happy buying !!😁😁😁
@@richedwards9646 Thanks, Rich. The Hohner 72 or 96 is on my radar. I've also considered finding a very nice Italian used, so looks like our minds are on the same track. Cheers.
Goodness... that one looks like a challenging project, Rich. Happy Easter, by the way.
Thankyou Mark
Happy Easter !!
Hello. Thank you for your videos. A nice video idea would be to show how can someone polish an old faded accordion. Cheers
Great suggestion!
Thank you.
You're welcome!
Do you buy those old accordions, fix them and keep them or do you sell them on? Or do customers bring them to you for repairs?
