Do you know about the thing in superweapon general level where if you just walk an infantry to behind the nearest particle cannon, she will sell it. 1 infantry can often just walk past the defenses without getting hit, 2 infantry properly spaced virtually ensures success, even if the infantry dies she usually still sells the PC. Another trick (GLA exclusive) is to rebel ambush behind the power plants in the top corner and steal the central one, the patriots can't hit it due to the other powerplants and she won't attack it with anything else, so you get to enjoy having power for the rest of the mission.
The moment I see the Bomb Truck rolling out of the Arm Dealer I thinks "oh nice tactic to counter sneak attack with it" but at the moment you steered it away from sneak attack I goes facepalm.
It was meant to go towards the stealth tunnel network near the money crate. It would detect the bomb truck, empty out to attack it, then the Bomb Truck would explode and take out all the units. That would make the Sneak Attack weaker since there would be less units coming out of the tunnel then. The facepalm wasn't the intent, but because he hit the Demo Trap with it.

Well i had to pay for it. I have command and conquer decade i believe i bought it at walmart and i had to register it with origin who is EA sports. I haven't played a lot of the games I probably should play but generals and red alert 2. You can download it from the there on the internet. Sucks though cause you 1. You have to always have a connection and 2. You have to have an origin account which i had a hell of time getting to work right.
I play it pretty easy now. I love to play it online and i also play red alert 3 because the graphics are so much better. But generals zero hour is fun. ON a mac they had a wrapper where i could by pass windows that was fun as hell too

We should start a petition or kickstarter or gofundme or whatever is appropriate to get a generals + zero hour all in one remake. That would be amazing, and I know I would buy like 4 copies for myself and friends, I feel like it would be really great, not only for fans but for the business; not only are old players going to be picking up this nostalgia hit, new players could be drawn into the series as long as it was marketed correctly. Someone more knowledgeable than me, please get this going if you can!!!
John Graham Doe - There already is a very playable CNC:ZH. Remaking it would do nothing and doing anything would mean that nobody buys it.
No, there really isn't. For one thing, there are no official servers, and you can't play on windows 10 or on a wide screen monitor without cracking the game files, which creates online mismatches and bugs out the game if you try to play online. It also has 10 year old graphics (which to me look fine, but there's still no harm in updating).
All of this baggage makes it damn near impossible to try to convince new people to try the game, and as time goes on players are only leaving, not joining. The community is slowly but surely dying. A clean start could actually get this game going again in my opinion.
And besides, the whole point of a petition is that they get enough people to make the game profitable before even starting any work, so literally no harm could come from it.
Sure there is a "playable" CNC:ZH, but it is far from ideal. A game that requires modding and unofficial servers on current generation hardware is not in good condition.
Also, there are plenty of "playable" games that get remade and people still buy them. Halo CE Anniversary, The Master Chief Collection, Modern Warfare Remastered, etc. A game doesn't have to be dead and buried to be remastered.
EDIT:
Oh yeah, and on top of all that, there's also the fact that to play zero hour, you have to buy not one game, but two, seeing as zero hour is technically an expansion. So good luck reviving the player-base of a game that requires purchasing two separate discs.
All in all, it just isn't very user friendly for newcomers and wouldn't be hurt by a little polish.
John Graham Doe - The First Decade has been on Origin for years, sometimes on sale for 10€, works fine on Windows 10 at 16:9 resolutions. MW Remastered/Infinite warfare is the worst selling COD in forever, and Halo didn't have a playable version available unless you wanted to dig up a 10+ year old device that can't even run the game properly.

i love/hate how stupid the AI enemy on challenge mode is on easy difficulty. i mean he specializes in laser yet he'll only send infantry at you but then on medium and hard they go ham

Hi, a way to improve your skill level is to learn hotkeys. Hotkeys are the key to everything. Through them you will get very fast

It's a little annoying how some generals like stealth and superweapon try as hard as possible to rape you before the game even gets to the 5 minute mark, but others like air and nuke have half-broken AI and barely do shit. The Toxin AI doesn't even make heavy tanks like scorpions or marauders, I mean come on.

Why dont u use marauders? A few scrapped and veted marauders is all u need, you wouldnt have such a hard time against Kassad's sneak attacks.

since this is a few year later you might not remember, but why were you so focused on building the second scudstorm during the first attempt vs stealth? Usually you would have gone for more units, especially since your base was under siege and you were desperately lacking units to defend with
edit-also clearly radar van is so OP the AI feels the need to hit it with superweapons. At least the particle cannon and nuke, maybe a scudstorm I missed?

You just open the .ini file in Generals ZH folder in My Documents, find the resolution and manually type in your resolution, then save and restart the game
The other videos several years ago are much better
